Lydia cursed profoundly as she landed on her bottom. She looked up to see Snape and curse again. She was in deep sh!t now.

"S-sorry." said Snape bending with an extended hand, to help her up.

Lydia blushed slightly and let him help her up. "T. . .thanks." she said. "It was my fault."

"T-th-that's okay...." said Snape, positively bright red.

Lydia nodded. "Thanks again." she told him.

"O-okay." said Snape, now white as a ghost.
Thoughts were speeding through his mind:
She's a Gryffindor!
But she's......beautiful...
But she's a Gryffindor!

Lydia smiled glancing up nervously. She pushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"Um....bye!" said Snape runing down the hall.
"Oh no......I LOVE her....."

Lydia stared after him. "God, Sev, you can be so weird."

He stopped:
"Leave me be woman, I-I don't need this now." he said, and began to walk away.

Lydia sighed. "Great now he doesn't even like me." she whisperes before heading to the girls bathroom.

Snape caught what she said.
"Wait!" he said, grabbing her arm before she entered the Girl's Lavatories.
"Come on!" he said, pulling her into an adjacent classroom.

Lydia was surprised by Snape's new found aggressiveness. She reluctantly followed. "yes?" she asked when they were inside.

"I-I-I...."
snape couldn't find words for it.
He stared at the floor, as he paced in front of Lydia.
"I cannot say, I-"

Lydia tilted her head to the side. A strand of black hair falling in her face as she shifted. "Y. . .you can't say what? This is definately something new to me." she whispered the last sentence."

(Ok so I changed her hair color, sue me 😛 )

"I-I-I.."
Get it out.
"I love YOU." he said, staring into her (colour) eyes.

Lydia blinked her blue eyes. "What?" she asked not entirely comprehending what just slipped out of Snape's mouth. I'm dreaming! she thought. It couldn't be. I'm hearing things. "I'm sorry I could have sworn you just said that you love me."

"Don't make me say it again." said Snape, looking away.
Tears swelled in his eyes.
"You'll just go back to the Gryffindor common room, and you and your little group of friends will just make fun of me..." said Snape loathingly.

Lydia shook her head. "What group of friends, Severus? There's only James and Remus. I would never make fun of you. It isn't right." she said looking him in the before loosing her courage and looking at the floor blushing.

Snape turned:
"You know bloody well what I mean! This damned school is rumour central! This news will get around in no time, and Potter and his stupid friends will get me even more! It will only get worse! Does no one notice? Everytime I pass them, they hex me, or curse me, or-they've ruined my life!" screamed Snape.
"I-I'm sick of this! I want it to be over!"
