The Marauders

Lily sighed and descended the stairs of the Entrance Hall. A portly man and Dumbledore began speaking to her. She couldn't catch a word but somehow understood that her memory was about to be modified. "Please don't-" she uttered one last time but the portly man shook his head.

Gathering up his wand he turned it on Lily and began the spell. "Oblivi-"

But before the spell hit Lily, James hit the man. On accident? Probably not. James had knocked into him, pushing him over. "Lily! Nice to see you!" He exclaimed.

Snape looked down at Lydia, blinking. "Lydai, what-?"

Lydia tried to crawl backwards muttering. "You bastard, bragging like that." she whispered hurt.

Snape didn't knopw what to say. How'd she find out...?! Instead he just walked quickly in the other direction, sneering.

Lydia had managed to get into a corner. she cried silently in the shadows. What was wrong with her? She had done everything wrong. She had hurt Remus for no reason. She should have known he could never be angry with her.

Both Lily and James walked down the wall in silence. James then spotted the crying Lydia.

"Lydia!?" James said.

Lydia glanced up. Her eyes were red from crying. "Go away before I hurt you too. Remus found out James. That b@st@rd snape was bragging to his friends aout kissing me, and Remus overheard."

Lily ran the other direction, muttering something about kicking someone in the butt. Probably Lupin.

James knelt down next to Lydia. "Hurt me? How would you do that? You havn't kissed me or gone out with me....so unless you punch me or something, I doubt I'll get hurt." He helped her onto her feel.

"I know what will cheer you up! That swim!!"

Rhemus was sitting on the chair in the dormotorie mad at Lydia like hel*.

Lydia shook her head. "I just want to die, James." she said sniffling. She thanked him for his help though.

"Nonsense!" He said, pulling her towards the common room so they could change into their swimming suit. Right before they entered, James whispered to Lydai, "Now I bet Remus will be in their. Walk past him, then once your changed, just walk out. I'll be waiting."

Once they entered, James ran up to chang. He was back very quickly, in his slighly baggy black swim shorts that fell to his knees, a towel wrapped about him.

Remus totally ignored Lydia.

Lydia came back still blushing. She wore a blue one piece.

James grinned, ignoring Lupin for the moment. "Ok, let's go!!" He exclaimed, running out the door with Lydia right behind.

At the lake, James was the first to jump in, dumping his towel to the grass. He shreiked when he hit the water. "Only a little cold!" He told her, laughing, his head the only part of him visible.

Lydia shook her head. "I'll just watch." she said.

Lupin got up and started to walk he saw Lilly. "Ahh Lilly come with me" he said as he and Lilly went to the lake. THey both hid under the trees and watching.

But James would not take a no for an answer. He jumped out, and simply pulled/pushed Lydia into the water. "Bwahaha!" He let out a fake evil laugh, jumping back in beside her.

Lydia climbed up and sat on the bank soaked. She thought about remus. she felt aweful.

"Come on , Lydia! Your NO fun!" He complained, getting out and sitting beside her. The sun beamed down on the two. "Don't put yourslef down!" He then said, almost readig her very mind. "It's not your fault..."

"How is it not my fault?" Lydia asked.
