actually on JK's website she states that she can neither confirm or push aside the rumour as doing wither would be a spoiler: therefore the only way in which were going to find out the truth is by reading the book! 🙂
Guys, you need to stop creating roumous, because it was reported on the news that the police cought the guys before they even had a chance to open the book, so there's no way they found out who died. The Dumbledore roumour has been going around for a long time and they used the guys to make you believe.

no.. i was asking a question... i just didnt put the ? i meant to say
"wait... dumbledore's gonna die? becuase some guy stole the book and told everyone? ."
he never actually said that he'd told anyone, he said that unless he was paid the £30, 000 even if he no longer had the book in his possession he had read some of it and could ruin the storyline, the whole bit about Dumbledore supposedly dying is rumored due to the amount of bets being placed on him dying in the town where the book is being published / stored? are these two incidents actually related was the book stolen from this town? or have these two pieces of information become confused as one?

❌ ❌ ❌ exactly, so lets not assume anything (It's not like any of us want that roumor to be true anyways) ❌ ❌ ❌

HBP UK Adult Cover
I would just like to point out something I noticed about the UK Adult version of HBP. The picture on the cover is of a textbook copy of "Advanced Potions Making." I don't know if anybody has posted anything about this, but I am going to take this as a sign that Harry does, indeed, recieve an O.W.L. in potions. In OotP Harry was unsure if he would pass potions, and since the book covers usually reflect on events revolving around Harry, it seems that he will be taking Advanced Potions. Of course, I could be completely wrong, in which case please disregard this post completely. Do you agree or disagree? Let me know! 🙂
Yeah i saw that also, and I'm assuming that's what the advanced potions book is all about. Harry was only horrible at potions because Snape hates him, and in OWL exams snape has no say in harry's grade, so it would make sense for him to do much better. Also, on the US HBP cover it looks as though Harry and Dumbledore are looking into what looks like a pensive. But now that you brought up the potions thing I was thinking it could also be a big culdron that they're brewing a potion in, right? What do you guys think? As far as I can see it looks like it's hard to tell what it is they're looking into. it's just a thought 😄
Yes, there is a possibility that it could be a cauldron, but I still think it is a pensieve because the basin is very shallow and there is no flame heating it. Also, Harry and Dumbledore are using their wands for something, and I thought that using spells in the process of making a potion could be very volatile. Of course, that is all up to Jo to make that decision, so please keep in mind that I could be completely wrong. It is possible that they are using their wands to extract memories for the pensieve. After posting yesterday, I was looking at the UK regular edition HBP backcover and I am very curious about the boat and the river in the picture. It seems very eerie to me. What is the basin Harry and Dumbledore are looking into, and what is the mysterious river on the UK edition? All these mysteries will be revealed in July, but until then, we can have fun trying to fugure it out ourselves, right? What do you think? 😄
Hm, i havent really seen the boat, so I don't know what it could mean. Are there people in it? can you see who it is? The covers are always pretty interesting, trying to figure out as much as you can before it comes out! I really want the door at JKR's website to open and give us some more clues to talk about!!
You can see the boat if you go to The Leaky Cauldron. On the left-hand side of the page under "Book Six" go to Images/Covers. It will take you to the page with all the cover images of HBP. The boat is on the UK edition. It is very weird. I took a closer look at it and if you look in the boat there is no one there, but if you look at the reflection of the boat in the water, there seems to be something in the boat. The river the boat is drifting on looks like it is circling a pedestal, and on the pedestal, there the pensieve sits. If you see anything stange about the pic let me know.
Anyway, I agree about the door. I thought that it would open more often as it gets closer to the release date. I think that if it does open, she might give us another exerpt from a "Dursleys" chapter. I hope it's something good.
ARRRGGGHHHH!!!! DAMN YOU JO! WHY DO YOU TEASE US?? sigh...
