It's wierd, I bought The Killers album. I like it, but damn, I'm running out of songs I like. They are simply pop music. Easy to get into really quickly. The more I hear their songs, the more I get kinda sick of em.

They won't be rememberred in years to come in the same way that, oooh, Kasabian will be. People keep going on about Kasabian but I think they are a band that will stand the test of time, and unlike The Killers, their music gets BETTER with every listen.

It's rather sad how many girls I know who like this band simply because of how they look. I sometimes wonder if any of the die hard Killers fans actually like their music over their MTVideos and good looks. I myself liked them for the music, and see them as mediocre. Anyone who thinks they are above mediocre is obviously liking them for another reason other than the music - which I find pathetic.

That's just my two cents, I am a paying customer after all.

I agree. When I initially heard them I thought they were okay, but I got incredibly bored with them incredibly fast. Now I don't care for them at all. They're catchy, but aren't something that'll last. I'll admit that I do still like Mr. Brightside, but it's not necessarily because it's a good song, it's more for personal reasons.

Y'know, I got the Kasabian CD on a whim a while ago and was quite glad I did, it's really good.

Kasabian are literally chasing Franz Ferdinand with a motorbike in a race of UK's most drab, boring and lifeless band.

Kasabian lack everything that is supposed to be involved in music it seems.

But then I guess they're not as shit to non-Brits.

Meh, I like it. Wouldn't say it's anywhere near being a favorite, but it's a good listen every once in a while.

Then again most of the time I spent listening to it was sitting in a car for endless hours on end (when I was on vacation).

It's like Coldplay to me in the sense that they're some kind of American novelty.

Meh, knowing me, I'll be sick of Kasabian in a few weeks, just like every pop-ish band I've ever heard before.

Gotta agree that Franz Ferdinand is a boring band. Their songwriter needs to get a ****ing imagination

i got the kasabian CD on the recommendation from a mate of mine...he has since been made to eat the CD...the case...and the sleeve....never will he recommend such pish to me again

I can see why you think that, but Kasabian appeal greatly to the "I don't care" part of me, in the same way as The Killers do.

I genuinely appreciate your opinions. I'd hate it if we all liked the same stuff, and even though I take music seriously, I usually don't take into account anyone elses opinions when forming my own when it comes to things like music. Kasabian and The Killers I can appreciate because they are quick and instant pop-ish acts. Not my fave bands by any stretch of the mile, but I still like'em. Kasabian may sound drab on CD to some, but Live they are superb. Then again, they could have done with making their album a bit better in order to get the live followers in the first place.

I agree about Franz Ferdinand being boring though.

I just fail to see why anyone would wanna settle for shit, even if you just want quick and easy music.

The Cure have alot of that. The White Stripes in some areas. Even Muse and bands like Feeder.

I realy don't see how anyone could hate the killers,but that's just me.They have catchy songs and they are decent musicians.I think a lot of people just like to go against the grain on music so much they miss out on a lot.I know people who won't listen to a bad just because their music videos get played on mtv of vh1.Or because the band is on the new NOW cd.The Killers is one of those bands who won't get a fair chance in the eyes of a small group of people.I predict this will be their only big albulm,but seeing as they're already on their fourth single the'll probably have a decent sequel to Hot Fuss.

If it's music that's catchy and danceable that you want, then listen to The Faint.

I think this band's alright... Definitely not one of my favorites, but I listen to them from time to time.
