Board rules state that characters have basic prior knowledge of each other. So opponents know that Superman is weak against kryptonite, for example (but not that he's Clark Kent).
If Mags has basic knowledge prior to the fight, then he'd know that the yellow can be overcome and wouldnt hold as a real weakness.

Why are you bringing up a "new recruit"? Ofcourse theyd have to concentrate alot more because they have the "ability" to overcome great fear. They havent done so yet and thats why it would be much harder for them. On the other hand, all of the top 5 GL's have already done so. Like Hal said in Rebirth, "Remember fear!" Even in the new series, he stated that they know fears name now, so all they have to do is feel it and overcome it. And as John stated, "Not a problem."

A supernova isn't ACTUALLY yellow. It's just drawn that way. And even then, like I said, if you know what you have to do...you can apply enough will to overcome it. So if Magneto said, "I'm going to radiate you with yellow any second now", a GL could steel himself for it and it wouldn't work. For Magneto to just DO it, on the other hand, removes it from the realm of willpower altogether.
You say that a supernova isnt actually yellow, just only drawn yellow? In comics, most of the supernovas are yellow, so i can use that to base my proof. Have you ever seen yellow radiation? No because it is drawn that way for the comics. You cant say that a supernova isnt actually yellow, but then say Magneto can make yellow radiation. I never knew radiation came in colors. You also make it seem as if the "yellow radiation" would kill the GL instantly. Thats not the case. With most radiation, it takes time to have somewhat of a lethal effect. Once the GL is applied with it and isnt able to rid the effects of it, theyd most likely know that it may be a "yellow" type radiation and will overcome it.
