Uhh, 99% of the stuff on MTV is shit. Ashlee Simpson? Simple Plan? Coldplay? Just kill me now, thanks.

And I don't like Brand New because I've listened to them and they are boring and untalented.

and stuff that isnt played on the radio yet isnt "underground" is?oh and alot of those "obscure bands" are breaking out these days

That's not what she's getting at, but the majority of MTV music sucks. 😬 Watch Fuse, they are a lot better, but still they have a lot of the whiny Emo bands or the crappy rock that 15 year old wannabe punk rock girls cream over because of the lead singer and his dyed black hair and girly voice.

And no, most of the obscure bands we like aren't breaking out, and likely never will, because the bands themselves do not want to become the next flavour of the week, only to be discarded when MTV says something else is better.

By definition, if it's underground and hasn't broken out yet, it's not mainstream. 🙂

If they do break out and become mainstream, more power to them, but surely that would bring in lots of poser fans. 🙂

So people shouldn't be different? Well excuse the hell out of me for not having my tastes spoonfed to me! I am not one to dislike something because it is popular - I'll dislike it because it is talentless dime-a-dozen shit.

Most anticipated? You don't know how most music magazines work. They'll suck the dick of any band that MTV says is popular, and drop them as soon as something else becomes the new hot thing.

I KNOW what the most anticipated music releases are this year, and Brand New sure as hell isn't on that list.
