Comic of the month!

Started by HigH ScholaR48 pages

just read the recent daredevil trade paper back and it was very good, the daredvil line produces good consistent stroytelling though at time i find the characters hard to identify though this is more of an issue of me not being us to the art then it being bad its actually good.

i picked up nextwave due to all this crap that its actually good and should'nt be droped well, its a bit shit (though i am only 30% through the book) maybe its because i just finished reading daredevil or i'm just not in the mood.

Not exactly a comic question , but it's been pissing me off for the last few hours.

Where the hell does this quote come from ?

" This hand of mine glows with an awesome POWER! It's burning grip tells me to defeat you! Take this! My love, my anger, and all of my sorrow! SHINING FINGER! GO! GO! GO!"

maybe fist of the north star, but that is just a wild guess, try to google the qoute

I think it might be from one of the old gundam series

Alrighty...

Phoenix Warsong #5 (of 5) - Alright i guess, i dunno, kind of anticlimactic i think... nice art in places though, i loved that shot of colossus just lifting a huge chunk of the ground up to shield the x-men...

Uncanny X-Men #483 - So... Vulcan. would be conqueror of the shiar empire... the man who almost took down the entire imperial guard single handed... is pussy-whipped... wow... is it me or is that just a crock of shit... and deathbird sure loves her mutants doesnt she...

Flash #8 - I was surprised by this issue, it was slightly less crap than its predecessors... i actually quite liked the art, and i was happy to see bart finally get some... maybe he'll mature a bit now...

Action Comics Annual #10 - Nice, some of the stories were cool, and had a nice image of whats to come from luthor...

Green Lantern #16 - I have to say, i bought this comic solely for the fact that Ivan Reis (a very talented artist imo) was on pencil duty, and i have to say i wasnt disappointed by the art or the writing... Nice story, though i am playing catchup... i may even pick up the next one...

----------------------------

I didn't but these but got to read em anyway...

Supergirl and the LOS (25 i think, whichever the latest one is) - Decent writing and art, i guess i'm just not as interested in the Legion as some people... as i said, decent comic though...

Supergirl #14 (the latest one) - Alrighty... so apparently DC wants women to read Supergirl... and they do this by making her date possibly the most vacuous male character in comicdom... good job dc... and powerboy? i really hope he does supergirl, so superman shows up and gives him a good kicking...

I just read a JLA elseworlds story. (For those who don't know, Elseworlds is DC's equivalent to Marvel's what if) The story was called JLA the Nail. It's an excellent storyline ✅ with great art and plenty of twists ✅

Cap #25
Civil war the initiative
I read the trade of X-men Deadly Genesis = art was reasonable, storyline = slightly under par but watching Banshee splat on a blackbird windscreen is always readable ✅

the death of cap probably gets my vote. Does anyone think he will really stay dead? I dont but i think it would give relevance for the civil war other than being a money making ploy

Meh,

IMO that's all it was for.

I think Steve Rogers will be dead for a while, or possibly permanently, Captain America though? A little while but he will be back, it is the unwritten law of Comics that a character nearly always comes back ✅

I bought New Avengers the collective storyline as it was a gap in my collection.

I also bought Daredevil #95 = The art was very bland, the storyline has only just started and is a bit disappointing but I'm gonna give it time to get started up. In Bruabaker I trust ✅

New Thunderbolts I'm loving, great art storyline's great, the dialogue seems a little awkward at times, it comes across as typical Americans trying to be cool, but I can put up with that, after all I regularly post on these forums 😛

I'm deciding at the moment on whether to buy new Avengers latest issues in comic or graphic novel format :/

This thread sucks.

Digi sucks.

Comics come out weekly, not monthly.

Wanker.

Saw red for a second there, disregard that, was a bit pissed off. I still don't think it should of been closed though.

I know all about it, I had no intention of pretending like I never said it though and 'cause some of it was true (not the Digi & Wanker bit 😮).
