X-Men First Class #1 - I saw what im sure was a preview of this comic a while back, and i was looking forward to some awesome painted art... but alas, t'was not to be... simplistic art with simplistic writing... disappointing to say the least, and i wont be reading issue #2...
The Flash #4 - It was ok... can't say anything really on a positive or negative note... i'm just not a fan of bart i suppose...
Superman #656 - Pacheco's art is really starting to annoy me, and i think Busiek is starting to follow suit... going a bit downhill i think...
Civil War X-Men #3 - Better than the last two issues, if a bit fleeting... at least they got rid of that stupid 'mutant take-over guy' arc... and the long awaited cyke v bishop seems like its never going to happen...
Astonishing X-Men #17 - I was sitting on the bus on friday morning on my way down to dublin (the only comic shops are in the capital so thats where i go), so anyway, there i was, thinking about whether whedon was going to bring cyclops or colossus back into the arc... and damn, didnt he do it well...
Spoiler:
lockheed is the mole? i NEVER saw that coming... 😖colossus got his 'orders' which says to me in the coming issues that we're gonna see him do some serious damage...
i was actually glad to see wolverine start to wake up... whedon has handled wolverine beautifully during this arc, and i cant wait to see him and colossus wreak havoc in the next issue...
the box had nova's body in it... i don't know how i didnt see that coming... what the hell... looking back, it was an obvious choice...
Now... for a while now i've been complaining that cyclops had become way too passive... and whedon has put that issue to rest as far as i am concerned... HARD. CORE. i like emma, i do, but the b*tch had it coming... and cyke... well this is a pivotal cyke moment... and i'm glad whedon is the one doing it... and the one liner was f*ckin awesome...

the kinds of things that were revealed in this comic lead me to wonder at it. I really do think this was probably... with exception to maybe the captain america comic... the best comic i've read all month.
gl as the torchbearer is a little annoying to me.
the latest action comics with the auctioneer felt forced.
xmen wasn't bad, but it wasn't good.
its funny, i reallllllly got into the early comics for 52 but that fizzled, andlately i find myself searching more for the back issues of civil war and annihilation.
