The Simpsons Movie

Wow...this is one of the worst ideas for a movie I have heard of in a long time. Not so much the Simpsons for inspiration, but the fact that it will be live actors doing it. This will be one movie I will be sure not to see. I can already imagine it....ruining the idea in my head of the Simpsons.

I wanted this movie so long.Why do they have to use real actors?WHY DO YOU MOCK ME O LORD??????!!!!!!

'Simpsons' Film Will Take Years

The eagerly-awaited movie version of The Simpsons is finally under way, but fans are being warned they will have to wait years before it hits cinemas. Yeardley Smith - who provides the voice for eight-year-old character Lisa Simpson - fears avid viewers of the show will lose interest in the cartoon family by the time the film is released, but believes it's more important for Simpsons bosses to focus their efforts on the current series rather than the movie. She says, "Animation takes forever. My wish for the show is that we go out with a bang not a pimple." Last week it emerged the new season of The Simpsons was under threat because of a pay revolt among the actors who give voices to Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and the other stars.

yea they are waiting till the show is over (atleast 2 more season) and the film will take atleast 3 years (its animated, animation takes a long time)

Aw.. I was hoping for real actor/actresses in the roles.

What would they do, paint the actors yellow. 😆
I don't know about real live actors. I don't think it would fit with the cartoon at all. Without animation, and all the same voices, it wouldn't be The Simpons.

Live actors would suck ass. sentinelrv is right, without the animation, it's not the Simpsons.

I heard a rumor they where doing live actors and I was just like "THAT SUCKS" what where they think?But now I know its gonna be cartoon and I hope they dont ruin it.

I think they'll use cg to make the movie like that one tree house of horror.

I dont want to see cg altho the tree house of horror one was cool.I want cartoon.But you know what would be funny?a Simpsons Road Trip where they go on a trip around the america and get into all sorts of mischeif.

No you cant say that the simpsons movie would be made simply for money. If that were true they would have made a movie ages ago. Like back when simpsons were in there prime. Groening told Cinescape that he never saw the logic in having a simpsons movie, which is why there has never been one, however, looking twords the end of the series he can see good reason for a silver screen appearance. I wouldnt look for a film to soon though. Groening also said that the simpsons are going for another two year contract. He said the Animation will take atleast a year for a feature film. So i would look down the road in about two to three years. By then im sure simpsons will have lost all of there humor. The last three seasons have been so damn stale, with exception of a few episodes that groening wrote. F*uck they should have kept family guy and futurama. those shows had the complete humor of a simpsons episode in five minutes

Another question you have to ask, The big question. What would the rating be? I would say probably PG. I dont think Fox would invest in a PG-13 movie. Now only if they would shoot for an R rating, then maybe we could end the simpsons respectfully

i could see it being pg-13

I'd expect it to be PG-13.
