What is evil?

Started by debbiejo11 pages

I'm speaking of adults, and the people that try to minipulate them by their evil acts. Childrens minds are not strong enough to understand...People that do evil to them are the scum of the earth.

those children do grow up, and depending on the extent of the damage, the person grows up with damaged view of the world and authority, having a linear age doesn't mean anything, the reason why people hate child abusers isn't only because the kids are defenseless, but also because of the ongoing damage as the person ages.

I understand that, but a person can protect themselves from the damages of evil by becoming strong and KNOWING there is NOTHING wrong with you. That it isn't your fault. I never said that there was no evil, but there are ways in which one can over come those that have done evil against you..

for a rational child to grow to a rational adult, yes.

but for a child who was abused, and grow up in an unsafe and evil system, they will have a view of the world that is not the same as the rational child who was never exposed to evil.

evil does things to the mind when it is introduced at such a young age, trust is gone, etc.

i am not painting the picture of a helpless person here. but of the reason why most hate evil, usually when it is done to a child.

i know this is off topic, but most believe the movie "Skeleton Key" is about evil, although others would argue she was just stupid...either way, her kindness was a tool to get her into trouble, that was the beauty of the movie, her vice was kindness.

Though there are children that have undergone the same abuse and have turned out to make something quite humanitarian of themselves....

I guess I'll have to see that movie. OH, and many people that do abusive things think they do it out of love or saving another. Just like the person who would kill little birds and cats and other animals. They feel if they kill them, they are doing the greatest good in saving them from a life of pain....They are trying to be empathetic and caring.

remember in algebra, when you have a negative value, you have to add positive value of a greater magnitude in order to yield a positive outcome or product.

-17+(+18)=1

but you can't add more negative to an already backwards number (-17) in order to get a positive outcome. when a person is at a negative or backwards position, it takes POSITIVE numbers (experiences) to move forward and not further backwards.

all this stuff about suffering is good and out of the darkness comes light, and oppression and pressure yields good results, this is just negative thinking or backward thinking to justify cruel behavior.

here's an example of evil, although, he is an adult, God rest his soul, would have hoped he learned from the sting ray guy who had fallen (God rest his soul as well).

"Malaysia’s snake king Ali Khan Samsudin, 48, died as he had lived – handling the reptiles that he loved. "
He loved something that has the matrix of a backstabber, it eventually did what it's programmed to do, "kill". All the love in the world will not change it's program or nature, that thing will eventually kill (you) or someone else. Evil, but he was an adult, but he had a fondness for something that doesn't change because of affection. Snakes have a feline behavior sometimes...cat-like way, at first, it rubs on you as if it is nice and friendly, the next thing you know, you are being poisoned or you are being crushed to death.

He deluded himself into thinking he had control over a snake, and everybody knows, in every language, snakes can't be trusted. And God forbid that snake energy/matrix skips evolution and lands itself as human, lol, guess what people will say "that person is a snake".

WHAT THE **** IS UP WITH YOUR VENDETTA AGAINST SNAKES ?

Many pagan religions considered the serpent good and worshiped it as even a goddess. Even in the story of Moses the people were to worship the serpent or die from their afflictions, see how paganism is even in the OT? Even Jehovah was considered a serpent by Jewish medallions of the 1st and 2nd centuries B.C. Jehovah the serpent god, like the "snake-tailed winds" of the Greeks. ..The words as "Wise Serpent" was being wise like god. In one interwoven Genesis stories, God was not one but many, the elohim or "gods and goddess" The God of Eden remarked to his divine colleagues, "Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil", therefore he must be ejected from the garden at once, lest he takes from the tree of life, and live forever and being taught by the wise serpent. It was the RCC church that took such stories and made the serpent evil, doing away from many pagan beliefs including the OT bits.

you're obsessed. And it's all religious bias.

Why not pick on the REAL threats ? Like Sharks, mosquitoes that carry disease, rats, etc.

Why pick on something that people rarely encounter ?

Why would god tell moses to have the people worship a snake and ask it forgiveness?

Have I offended your god? I don't know any culture worshipping sharks or mosquitoes or rats. Most pagan cultures worship the sun (which hides the snake/dragon/serpent).

In the Koran or Talmud or the Christian bible, show me where it states this, please, I will research the matter.

1) I have no God

2) Sharks are a much larger threat than snakes

3) you're obsession with the Snake is alarming. No one worships snakes, so relax.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that everyone that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. (Numbers 21:5–9; emphasis added)

WOULDN'T THIS ALSO GO AGAINST MAKING ANY GRAVEN IMAGE??

INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH:

Eve was taken in with Satan's reasoning; especially when
the serpent said unto the woman,
Ye shall not surely die: (Gen.3:4)

John 3: 14: And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Is the son of man the serpent, the word made flesh??

Wow, you are awesome to debate with.

If you are thinking metaphorically about the "snake", then one would say that when the bible states ...."wise as a serpent and clever dove (see Mt 10:16 bible verse)"

Is he stating we should have wings and fly? Does it mean we should be white? Does it mean we should worship birds? What does it MEAN? Be wise (like a serpant) but be gentle (as a dove)? Does it mean we should worship the serpant? Does it mean we should be just like the serpant? No, it states we should be as wise as one, but not to act like one. I can be as gentle as a bird, but that doesn't mean the son of Man is a bird, or the son of God is a bird.

The serpant lied to Eve, SUGGESTING to her "you shall not surely die". Well, she did.

Revelation 12:9 and 20:2:

'And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world.' (old language version)
