Well I would say that they COULD represent the "new" age of MTV whored bands.

To me anything from the year 2000 till now is practically new.

Mywi, MCR aren't an emo band, they're a pop band. I'd have thought you knew your music better than that.

I know dude, but thought I'd bring up the notion that they are poster boys for channels like Fuse and MTV. It's funny that people can't recognize bubble-gum pop in disguise (black clothes and eyeliner).

I loves them! my friend is obsessed with Gerard and she got me hooked on the band. I like their first and second album alot better than the new one.

what is considered pop? I dont really understand how MCR is pop in disguise...

They're not in disguise to me, I can tell they are blatantly a pop band.

Some people think pop = Britney Spears etc. That's not the case.

Who says you "don't judge"? hate to break it to you AC but you just like me are no authority. To me it's new music. Simple.

It wasn't about the time frame, as I have to keep crayola-ing out for everyone, as odd as I find it, it was a suggestion that you don't judge the past 7 years of "new" music on bands like MCR, or you're going to miss out on a lot.

7 years is a long time to be ignoring music because of MCR.

MCR is. . .fine, I guess. Not something I'm just going to sit down and listen to.

They got PUMMELED at Download though! That was. . .incredible. . .wow. I'm sorry, but I was laughing so hard.

There are a few good songs. I kind of liked Welcome to the Black Parade, enough to put it on my mp3 player, at least.
