i never said he was comming back in the movie, i would hate to see him again when there is another goblin potential out there (though i dont want to see him either, and plenty more characters to choose from.
About the venom issue, here's how i see it (not how its going to be done though, i severely doubt). A lot of people have taken notice to Astro-Jameson's amazing leap at the end of the second movie, and many claim it to be the symbiote. If this is true, then the symbiote is already on a character close to Parker (through mj, more or less). It wouldnt be hard for it to "transfer" over to him somehow
Throughout the 3rd movie, after the transfer, Sidey wears the black costume and becomes increasinly more violent while doing his normal crime-fighting stuff, boardering on killing people many times.
Well, Electro is confirmed as the next movie's villain (from what i've heard/read, but those are also mainly rumors, yet one of the sources has yet to lead me astray) and spidey can be fighting him off and on throughout the movie.
Meanwhile, we get introduced to Brock's character and see a rivalry build up between him and parker at the daily bugal. Eventually parker gets recognitoin as the paper's best photographer or something, just to add tension.
(next part i have 2 versions that would fit nicely)
1: Spidey beats the crap outta electro who then barely manages to escape with his life, as the symbiote tries to make spidey kill him. Later, a guy meets up with Eddie and claims to be electro, giving eddie the chance to interview him for publicity or something.
2: Eddie sees someone who looks like electro (in costume) doing some minor villain stuff (mugging a person, just nothing large-scale). Brock takes it upon him self to try and be the hero and actually manages to beat down the guy, who is later arrested. Either that or Eddie finds electro's identity through journalism and gets the police to arrest him.
both of these would lead to brock become a hero of sorts, and he would become instantly famous and adored(sp?) by the public. Soon, spidey fights the REAL electro again, proving that eddie's guy is a hoax. Brock is fired and disowned from his family, just generally becomes a wreck.
In the end with spidey's battle with electro, electro begs for mercy or something after finally being defeated, and it seems easy to simply hand him over to the cops. However, because of the symbiote, spidey decides to kill him instead.
Now spidey realizes he has to get this thing off (his love for mj might cause him to realize this, i dont know, something makes him try though) and sometime earlier in the movie, he realizes the creatures weakness of sound. So, he goes to a church, rings the bells like in the comic, yadda yadda yadda, almost kills himself, but the symbiote gives in and detatches itself and goes and hides in the church.
Mjs happy he got rid of it, everything is all good and jolly now. All happiness for the remainder of the movie except, once you think it would be time for the credits to roll (spidey music pics up and everything) it fades to another scene (no music at all, just quiet).
The scene is of Brock weaping in the church, obviously prepared to commit suicide. After praying one last time he places a gun to his head. The image slowly starts to fade to black and the viewer can just barely see part of the symbiote slowly creeping into the scene. Fade to black... end of movie

Honestly, if we're going to have a thread for every type of Spider-Man thing out there we might aswell not have a Spider-Man forum but just an Official Spider-Man thread, I give it 2 months before the thread is filled with nothing but note threads...........
Here's what I think will happen:
In the third movie the villains will be Harry/Hob-Goblin and The Lizard, Eddie Brock will be introduced and Spider-Man will get him fired, Peter will have a hard time fighting the villains and then he learns that Harry is his new enemy and doesn't want to hurt him, he gets his ass kicked and is almost an inch from death but the symbiote (bought back by John Jameson) finds Peter and gives him enough strength to beat The bad-guys but he does it so violently he kills them both. He gets really angry and tears off the symbiote costume which finds Eddie just before the movie ends, leaving a possibility for Spider-Man 4.
Oh God, the amount of rumours that people are taking as FACT is pretty disturbing, and really does show how gullibale they are.

The Sinister Six? Um, yeah, Sam Raimi is sure gonna bring in characters that don't exist yet and have a battle royal 🙄 Sam Raimi ain't stupid.

However.......I do like this idea.
I was never a fan of Electro, and so far the strongest rumours have been surrounding The Lizard.
The Vulture, Shocker and Rhino have more chance of getting Raimis attention than Electro.
I can't see Raimi taking on Electro, because he offers very little in terms of character. Green Goblin I and II, Dock Ock, Lizard, Venom all offer a good story and would appeal to the likes of Raimi who want to adapt a very personal story. Electro is kinda like Carnage, a one dimensional lunatic with cool superpowers, that's about it.
His origin story is rubbish too - he's just some bloke who gets electrocuted and gets these powers. He doesn't seem unique, it's like anybody could have been him.
I mean, only Conners can be The Lizard - due to him losing his arm and having the motivation of testing himself.
only Norman Osborn can be the Goblin - due to his workaholic attitude, and resources.
Only Eddie Brock can be Venom, for obvious reasons.
Only the paranoid, hard-done-by nitwit Gargan could have become The Scorpion.
Only Otto Octavius could become Dock Ock.
Heck, only Peter Parker could have been Spider-Man (as revealed in the Ezekial saga - Pete was the "one" and the spider CHOSE him)
Any old chump could be Electro. He's rubbish.
still, i think thats what they're gonna do, based on what i've heard. Now, i've heard that people WANT to see the lizzard, venom and goblin II, and many of those wants become rumors, which are then taken on as fact. As mentioned earlier, electro was planned as the first villain, and i think that they are still going to use him, as that is what has been mentioned by the staff at sony....
thats always possible, i dont think they would like to introduce 5 new characters to go along with him..... I mean, the only super hero type movie i've seen with multiple supervillains (as in more than 3) has been x-men, but that's because it seemed to fit. Its always been about team vs team. With spider-man, the first two movies have been 1 vs 1, and to jump to a 1 vs 6.... that just wouldn't seem right, and the majority of the villains wouldn't get developed at all.
Sam Raimi Confirms Two Villains In Spider-man 3!
Was watching 'The Return of Spider-Man' this afternoon, a program about the UK premiere of Spidey 2 and behind the scenes, interviews with cast etc.
Just something small, but they stopped Sam Raimi on the red carpet and said: "We've heard you've got two villains lined up for the next one. Can you confirm this?". Sam said: "Yes." But wouldn't say which ones.
UPDATE: Scooper 'Big Wheel' has an update on what Raimi actually said (includes a Spidey 2 spoiler)...
I saw that Sam Raimi bit on the UK show The Return of Spider-Man. In fact Raimi said yes - then very quickly no! He Joked it off by saying that yes, he COULDN'T confirm that there would be two villians in SpiderMan 3. As clear as mud then! But given that two potential villians were introduced in Spider-Man 2 - The Lizard and Harry as Green Goblin II - I reckon Raimi was telling the truth with his first answer!
