I have to say this every thread I hear this on.
Director Sam Raimi said in his films of Spider-Man, the Symbiotes will NOT be featured. Sam Raimi wants to keep the movies family based and the Symbiotes are way too evil. If another director signs on after Raimi is done, the Symbiotes may happen.
For those who've seen Spidey 2 you know one of the villains is GG2 (NOT Hobgoblin). The rumor is w/ the intro of Dr. Connors in both Spidey 1 (only mentioned, not seen) and Spidey 2, The Lizard may be one of the next villains. If not, Scorpion and Spider-Slayers.
Venom and Carnage will NOT appear in the films, but Eddie Brock has already. Mentioned in both films and the 2nd game, Brock is slowly being introduced. His only scene in Spider-Man 1 was cut and he wasn't featured in Spidey 2. Eddie Brock should be slowly introduced by the 3d film. If the Symbiotes do appear, they will be the Ultimate Spider-Man version, which instead of aliens, they are experiments conducted by Parker and Brock's fathers.
Once again, (to mine and many's dismay) Venom and Carnage will NOT appear in the films of Spider-Man.
one more thing, there is proof of Lizard being in the next film.
play Spider-Man 2: The Game. In it there is proof of Lizard's existence in the game. (Battle arena, comic store) But all of a sudden, he is gone. He was removed from the game. Why? He is in the next movie.
as for Rock and Vin Diesel...
Diesel would be good as Shocker (bulky, bronx accent, don't have to see his ugly mug)

Someone on one of the threads said Brad Pitt could be Cletus Cassidy, but I actually think he could be Venom, if anyone noticed, he can be a HUGE guy (hint hint, TROY), but anyways, I don't think Venom or Carnage will even be in the third installment, I think (hopefully) they will have a lead up for Venom to be 4th Villain, for third I want GG2, and Lizard, I mean think about it, it makes perfect sense, and I made a post before on how, and why I want them....
hi, all this speculation you guys are having is wonderful, and probably completely wrong. (if youd like proof of how wrong you are, go read this thread from before the 2nd movie came out, and how wrong you were about that movie.) however, id like to ask a question.
i thought that tobey macguire and kirsten dunst are only signed on for three movies, i havent heard about 4? 6? where are you guys getting that from, could anyone possibly show me a link? thatd be super cool and you would make my day if you could prove that to me with something thats not a rumor. someone, please.
i am a big fan of spidey myself, been collecting comics a long time, loved the movies despite the changes, and would be a happy kid to find out that tobey's in for 3 more than i thought.
cause if thats true, that means that theres no doubt venom will eventually show up, cause he's the coolest damn villian this side of sephiroth. and sam raimi knows it.
and if that is true at all, then you guys shouldnt sit around trying to figure out whats going to happen next in the movies. sam raimi is a wonderful director and knows what he's doing. wait till they come out, watch it, and figure it out then. its so much more exciting that way, i promise.
aenigmus, although I don't have any proof, I do remember reading from sources like netscape.com and rottentomatoes.com that the Spiderman franchise is actually supposed to last for 6 movies total. HOWEVER, most likely Sam Raimi is not directing any more than the first three movies, and Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco do not plan on staying for more than 3 movies either. What's most likely gonna happen is that Raimi will wrap up his version of the spiderman story in the coming Spiderman 3, make it a nice trilogy.. and if someone else wants to direct the other spiderman movies, they will have a completely different take on the story perhaps, with fresh new actors. Hope that helps.
Look, Brad Pitt can just NOT be Brock. I also think its best that anyone playing theses charactors be less well known. I also must respectfully disagree with maxcarnage. Sam Raimi says one thing now, but steady pressure and the right script could bring about something else. No Carnage, maybe, but I think definately Venom. He is hugely bankable, and his charactor does not have to be any more disturbing than the Goblin. The Goblin disintegrates people with bombs, turning them into skelatons! This is the kind of sh*t that really freaks out kids. Venom could be done much more sublty. A lot of stuff could be implied and more or less over the kids heads. Also, the strength and animalism of Venom could appeal to them- they often like tigers and sharks.
If Venom is in any film, be prepared- he'll probably go the way of most comic book villains in films and will die in his debut movie.
I don't care, I appreciate that this makes for the strongest, most archetypical stories.
Brad Pitt is NEVER goin to be in any Spider-Man movies. Too girly. Same for Orlando Bloom (just had to say that). My most likely choice for Kasady is Matthew Lillard. but since Venom nor Carnage appear in the films, who cares? and fever red is right. even if Venom or Carnage are in the movies, they'll both be killed by the end. Same as both of the movies already (though they both come back in the series)
the next movie is most likely Lizard and GG2. NOT HobGoblin.

screw the whole 'Spdiey gets the suit. Carnage is Venom's spawn' screw that. the 2 suits come on the ship, join Kasady and Brock and fueled by the hatred for Spidey, fight together. But once they start to fight on who gets to kill him, they start fighting. Carnage winning, and Spidey discovers sound stops them and brings Carnage down.

sorry. It's NOT HobGoblin. Harry becomes another GG, fights Spidey then joins up w/ him to take down the 3d GG. in the comics anyway. I think they'd do the GG2 fighting spidey then joinin him to take down Lizard, than dying from a new Oz injection.

spidergurl's right. The actor's are only in it for 3, as well as rami. Part of me wants it to just be a trilogy, cuz usually after the 3rd movie, series just tend to suck, but another part of me wants to see villians like carnage and venom step into the light...
well i never seen a 3 some movie, or u mean star wars? cos for me only the old trilogy is the true movie,
abbout spiderman they should do as 007, random movies disconected, with their own welll written story, like cowboy bebop
