I don't believe for one second that Venom or Carnage will be in 3.
I'd say there'd be a 25% chance of Venom making it in to 3, with Carnage having a slim to none chance.
It'll be The Lizard and Green Goblin if anything - even then I'll keep my mind open.

they should do 2 trilogys, 1 about harrys growing hate for spider-man and then he becomes gobby (though that is nearly done) and the second about the symbyotes venom and carnage. 4 could explain how the symbiote came and spider-man finding out his costume is evil then it goes on brock. but to please fans with villain comfrontations black spidey could be battling lizard during this. 5 could be venom vs spidey and in 6 carnage comes about and its carnage vs venom and spidey. and venom ends up killing him by setting fire to a building carnage is in then venom thinks about the crimes hes done in 5 then he jumps in to the fire aswell then no more symbys

They'd die in battle. No suicide. That would be too hoky for adults and not appropriate for young teens- I mean Venom would be an anti-hero, not a villain, there'd be an expectation of people identifying with him, and then they depict him as choosing suicide as a solution to his problems? They don't even let people smoke in most movies now!

No, the animated series means diddly squat. It's an artistic licence and a cross between the comics and the movie, and Ultimate Spider-Man.
The GAME, however, is an artistic license based largely on the MOVIES - i.e. it's the game of the movie. Taking out The Lizard at the last minute means they are obviously saving him - who told them that they should be saving The Lizard in the first place? Maybe their licencors perhaps?

Or maybe having 5 villians in the game would be a bit much? I mean, if they put the Lizard in this game, what known characters does that leave for the S3 game? So far they have already had Green Goblin, Vulture, Shocker, Doc Ock, Rhino, Mysterio, and maybe someone else,(I haven't played the first Spiderman game). They also can't bring back villains from past games, that gets old unless they give them a cool twist. So for the S3 game you could have GG2, Electro, Lizard, and Scorpion. That's a good list right there.
Also, I read in an interview that Rami said he can take the third movie in 2 directions. He could have Harry become the Green Goblin, or he realize what his father was and why Spiderman killed him. Thus, you could have Electro as the main villian, which I don't personally like. Unless, Harry was more like the GG4 and helped Spiderman defeat Electro or something....I really don't know.

scorpion was in spider-man 1 game, so like you said, they cant bring back past villains
