I've never asked her, but I get the feeling she just wants this one to be the final one. She's very emotionally attached to them and wants us to have a sense of completion to it, for the audience. And feels that's what the audience wants and they don't want to see a Spider-Man 4. That they would probably would like to see a Spider-Man 3, but probably not really anymore

IESB caught up with producer Avi Arad on the set of Fantastic Four. He talked about Iron Fist, the future of Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Bryan Singer and who will be at the helm of X-Men 3.
Due to the recent comments of Sam Raimi regarding Spiderman most of us were taking the fact that 3 would be the magic number with a grain of salt.
No one wants to see such a well made franchise come to an end so quickly. Mr. Arad stated that Sam Raimi miscommunicated. He definately foresees more Spiderman movies to come but they like looking at one movie at a time and not beyond.

I think they should make a movie and a game to go with each 'SAGA' of spidey's life. i can only presume that the villains in #3 will be Lizard and G.Gobby 2. i think Spider-Man 4 should feature Venom, and #9 or #10 could feature the CLONE SAGA if they make that many.
There's a thought; who'd like to see the CLONE SAGE on the big screen?
They would probably have to spead it out over 3 films -- lol!

Well if Raimi and the FULL cast stick around for a fourth Spidey film (doubtful) then I can easily see Venom in a fourth.
At one point there was word that they were planning 7 Spider-Man films which is possible but, I don't see it happening with the original crew or even within the next 10 years.
There are too many characters for them to work with for them to only work with the "Clone Saga."
Evil Dead 4?!?
Man. I liked the first one, but the next two really, really lacked. One of my very best friends loves it. He says he doesn't understand how I can hate them--we watched the last one together a year or two ago. I tell him that when I can accurately anticipate the dialogue more than a couple times in a movie, it just holds no interest for me.
I would much rather see a 4th Spidey movie than another installment of Raimi's pseudo-scary zombie vision.
