Exactly.

Sony aren't stupid, they know that Venom is what the fans want to see, and they know if they do it wrong, it's all gonna kick off.

Despite the fact Sony changed Green Goblins costume into a power ranger, made Spidermans webbing organic, and turned MJ into Gwen Stacy (and no, I don't really care too much in hindsight), and p***sed off a lot of fans doing this, I don't think they'd have the gall to go and change who Venom is.

There could be truth to this rumour. I could definitely see Jameson and Peter being a host to the symbiote for instance. I could definitely see Spiderman taking on The Lizard in the black costume, all the while Eddie Brock is snooping around nearby, trying to get Spiderman back for helping Parker get Brock fired, or something.

Venom, the entity known as Eddie Brock and the symbiote combined, looks like he's in the pipeline for number 4, even by looking at this BS looking rumour.

whoa

Yeah Im not saying the Symbiote and Brock are not going to be in the next few sequals. they will just wont become Venom. it will take plenty of time to build up the nessacary mutual hate for Spiderman

Sorry, but I disagree. I don't know whether Sony is stupid or not, but what I DO know is that they don't give a hoot about us comic-fans.

It's a fact that most people who are going to see Spider-Man don't know jack shit about our beloved hero. They don't know him, or just barely. And they certainly never have heard of Venom. Sony knows this, and I don't think they're going to drag in a complicated story just to introduce Eddy Brock in a proper way and only to please us fans.

Because it is a rather complicated story: Secret Wars where Spidey found his costume, the abilities of his costume, the fact that Spider-Man was told that his costume was a dangerous living being with a history of his own, the complex relationship between the symbiote and Peter Parker, the fact that it escaped and "possessed" Eddy Brock, a journalist who held a grudge against Spider-Man because of Sin-Eater, and Sin-Eater is again a whole other story.

No way Sony will show us all this. Not even the half. They realize naturally that Venom is popular, so he will be included, but certainly not in the way "it should be". It will be a very simplified story. If that.

I hope somebody will prove me wrong, but I seriously doubt it.

Eddie Brock will probably be in the movie but dont look to see Venom in MAN-SPIDER 2.

thats what Im thinking. they mentioned Eddie in the first if they intended to bastardize Venom they wouldnt have done that is my guess

thats fake .............peter stay with MJ on second movie of the archne.........FAKE FAKE FAKE.........LIZARD incoming for third ............where the heck they took this from. and first of all inside crew cant tell the content of a movie otherwise they get a million dollar sue on their ass...and will never work on a studio anymore.......
i think felicia will show on the second movie but only like angela from spawn movie......shes there but we wont see her till someone tells us.......

second it dont tell in what does this guy works at .only design and writer~producers..... so if hes something else he wont have any detail or acess to the script.
if that girl from buffiy will be felicia ,i kill myself

exactly , the easier and shorter (reads lucrative) way to introduce venom is to show him coming from space since hes an alien, and ppl who dont know him will acept this and even remember one movie and say" ridiculous they copy this ffrom the experience 2!!although spider 90´s cartton already showed that alterated version for venom.

put ur bets they didnt introduced john jameson jr. fo nothing in the history they open two ways to go instead of just one.............

I see that sleeping in today caused me to jump into this too late. Red Superfly is absolutely right about the symbiote--that thing is always whoring around--it is not Venom unless it is within the confines of the very luscious Eddie Brock. By itself it's just a parasite. And we talked about this ad-nauseum in my Spiderman 3 thread in the movies forum.
But this is the first time any of us had mentioned Jameson's kid--apparently the source of the symbiote's introduction. Then, of course, they'll HAVE to show the symbiote trying to assimilate Spidey, who will use the suit for a bit, and them reject the symbiote. Enter Eddie Brock who whole heartedly accpets what spidey has given away, and VENOM is born at last.

OK, it is complicated, but I never said they ought to replciate any of the sin-eater or the Secret Wars stuff. I even said that using The Lizards story as a "stepping stone" for the Venom saga later on, would work a lot better, and would make sense given the restrictions imposed on such a movie.

I don't care if they mess with it a bit, just as long Venom isn't just "thrown in". You can do that with Dock Ock, and Green Goblin, but not Venom.

Look at The Lizard saga from the Spiderman 90's cartoon, and the Venom saga. If a cartoon can reasonably condense such a plot into one that makes even better sense, then we shouldnt expect anything less from a movie of said license.

Put it this way, if the movie can't do what a kids TV cartoon could - theres something very, very wrong.

Mr. Parker above the place were your avatar would be it says "loyal spiderman fan" but a loyal Spider-Man fan would not change the name to Man-Spider too suit himself.

But in Spidey 3 when J.J.J son comes back he could maybe just bring back the symbiote which finds its way to Eddie Brock. But I think bringing Venom in so soon to the movies is wrong, in every sequel the villians should become a bit more dangerous and stronger, like its obvious that Doc. Ock is a bit stronger then The Green Goblin, as I've seen in a clip from Spidey 2, Spider-Man is thrown through the windshield or a cab by Doc. Ock, but Venom is a LOT stronger then Doc. Ock so it's giving the villains a step-up to big and fast.

I would personally like to see a connection with Venom in Spidey 3 like Spidey gets his black costume which is the Symbiote. AND COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME MYSTERIOS POWERS, EITHER THE OLD OR NEW ONE I DON'T CARE, thank you.

Also I'm very sure that The Lizard will not be in Spidey 3 because The Lizard is in the Spidey 2 game, and Sony and Activision would not just give Lizard a bigger role in the third game, it would either be he's not in the second game but in the 3rd movie, or hes in the second game but not in the same movie. And they choose to put him in the Spidey 2 game.

Mysterio doesn't have powers as such.

He's a bloke in a suit, like Batman, but with a ton of gadgets.

Basically he was a special FX guy turned bad. This means he uses his special FX for evil. He uses holographic projections to give the illusion he has dissapeared in a cloud of smoke, or can make ten copies of himself (usually Spidey uses his spider sense to pick the real one out or something).

He's Mr. Hocus Pocus, but nothing he does is real. He also uses his illusions to have his enemies constantly second guessing.

He sometimes uses robots, and anamatronics, just like those from the movies, to add a real danger to what he does. Is it a hologram? Is it a real mechanical robot?

Mysterio is a brilliant enemy because he's a great enemy for Spidey to demonstrate his Spider sense at, and it shows everyone just how effective Petes sixth sense really is.

Also, it makes Spiderman look incredible - because not many superheroes can out fox the likes of Mysterio, or at least survive an onslaught from his creations.

Wow, so Mysterios a very powerful and dangerous villain to other Marvel and DC heros?

I was looking at concept artwork for the Spiey 2 game and it showed Mysterio and the entance to his fun house at a carnival, also his "Hall of mirrors." Also Black Cat will be in the Spidey-2 game, I also saw concept artwork for Doc. Ock, he looks a lot more buff then in the movie.

In sequence of villians, wouldn't it be green goblin, doc oc, lizard, hobgoblin, then Venom? And a couple of other things:

Who really cares if spider-man's webbing is orgainc now and mary jane kind of has the role of Gwen Stacy? O.K. maybe the green goblin looks like a power ranger, but the fact is we still pay to see the movies because in all they're awesome! 🙂

Also, Venom will probably come in 4 or 5. Personally, I think the lizard should come first, because if you notice in the first movie, during a scene with Mary Jane, he mentions that he was late and got fired by Doctor O'connors, which means he has had contact with him. Pending on what happens to JJ's son in #2 (i.e. whether he goes to space or not) will decide the entrance of Venom. Who knows, in my mind JJ's son could leave for space in this movie skip the next one, leaving Peter and Mary Jane alone with some dialog in between, and then reappear in 4 bringing with him the symbiote, and Eddy Brock becoming Venom.

Who knows? What I do know as that all of you and myself will be there to watch it all unfold in the upcoming spider-man movies. 🙂

nice myself04 finally some sense here..........nice post man...i think like u.....spidermans 2 ending will leave it unclued

I wunt carnage to be in Spiderman 4

i´m not sure if u know but its spawn on ur signature............nice pic

Well said on the other page spiderman04. So yeah, Spider-Man 2 ends with a bit of a cliff-hanger.

Spiderman 2 could end with a cliffhanger - possibly with Doc Conners tamperring with his genetic experiments, leading fans to get hyped for The Lizard in 3.

Why don't people want to see Teh Lizard anyway? It would be much darker than the others simply because most of it would take place in the sewers, or a large portion of it anyway.

It would be as dark and as scary as any Carnage or Venom story - in fact I'd put money on it being way darker than Venoms eventual story.

Think about it, The Lizard would be all about the whole "alligators in the sewers" urban legend, with people being dragged through manholes and stuff.

It could be a real scary one. The Lizard is by far one of the coolest bad guys because of the whole Hulk-but-bad thing going on, and the fact that Spiderman has to be REALLY careful when fighting a creature who is essentially friend.

The Lizard would be a perfect enemy for Spiderman to showcase just how smart he is - he will have to beat the Lizard using his science brains, because only Peter can save Doc Conners.
