he is, and he will probably fight and die at the end from Harry.( I really hope this happens) or he is just a cliffhanger whch I doubt cuz they said there will be no cliffhangers

In the comic it is an alien life form, he got it during secret wars, but he thought it was just a new costume, well turns out it isn't...well, he loses it Eddie Brock gets it, turns into Venom, goes to Jail loses part of the costume, Cletus Kassidy gets it, turns into Carnage kills roughly two billion trillion people...or something like that.
