also i do think it looks great

it looks hugely over the top
and it is prolly going to be an assraping of the real story

that' s not a spoiler to me

ofc that aint a spoiler

yea well to any one who knows some history it wont be.. but some people dont so i dont wanna ruin it..

and fire.. did u read what i wrote? It can NOT be an "assraping" of the true story.. because there actually isnt a "true" story.. the trojan war is not fact.. its not necisarily fiction either.. so they do have some leeway with how they go about it.. but what i read so far looks as if they are sticking with what is believed about it in history

theres a lot of people that dont do anythign about it.. and that would be a spoiler.. just like people who didnt reed tolkens books would be spoiled by lotr plots...

I read it and I didn't say it was a real story.

I am a history student, ofcourse I know what it is and what it is not

and the beginning of the trailler with a few 1000 greek ships looks like a very bad omen to me.

Homeros wrote the story with a bit of realism in mind that is not it.

Idd, but in the ancient times, they never could have gathered such an immense fleet.

the real story homeros wrote 😛

there is a different interruptation of the words real story possible here

I really wanna see it!

itll be magnificant (sp) i know ill love it.....maybe cos i read the illiad and the odyssey

BY looking at the trailer I think it'll be good.

its about the queen of sparta who left her king and went to [bloom]Paris(not the city) the son of the king of Troy.. the king of sparta then wanted her back so he went to war with troy.. she did not betray him during a war.. his brother King agamemnon of the myceneans comes to help, and he hires achiles to fight.. eric banna is Hector..

Spoiler:
achiles kills hector.. sorry
by the way im a college student ive taken a lot of classes on ancient greece.. and the movie is saposed to follow history fairly well.. even though the war still isnt proven true

oh and they fight against troy in troy which is over on asia minor

Well said 😱 Since I'm Greek, this isn't a spoiler for me, but very accurate info you gave there 👆

I think the movie will rock, as far as I've seen from the trailer. Maybe it will kinda ruin the myth, but, hey, it's a movie... Has to be different than books. 😬

evy, it doesn't matter if you're greek or not.
it's from a FAMOUS story, the story is already known and all

they just going to utterly distroy the story and go for two "goodlooking" guys and a different approach (to say the least)

Guess thats why they changed the title from Trojan War to Troy 🙄

that's why the movie will be full of utterly crap and untrue facts too

hehe

well its not a documentary.. lord of the rings is full of untrue facts.. as kes but it thats why there calling it troy.. its based on a myth so they have the freedom to do what they wish.. they have the base plot correct so i think it should be good
