Is time travel possible?

It's like our minds or conscious are not attuned to the other realities around us, that are just as real....It could be like this..you are only aware of yourself in a continuous thread of existence...and find it difficult to imagine you consciousness dividing itself untold times each second...Either you would be aware of the division or not, or your consciousness is favoring one of the branches over the other...And the other branches not having a thread of your consciousness running through it, is nothing but a collection of empty,darkness,..These would be like failed dimensions to us, but not to the other dimensions...you can only perceive what you are attuned to.

it is possible to time travel, as long as you have 1.21 gigawatts and a dellorian with a flux copasiter, you can travel anywhere. you have to reach 88 mph though.

If you can't travel physically, you can always travel on a dimensional level... 😑

Well sometimes it can be done mentally like the movie "Somewhere in Time".....Christopher Reeve went back to the past too...

I agree with debbiejo's thoughts, although, reality exists only in the eye of the observer at whatever level of existance that observer is experiencing at the moment.

correct......but moot. 88mph is not a necessity.......it was merely a switch mechanism Doc put into the car to activate the time machine to prevent someone from travelling through time every time they put the car in gear.

would have been a great trilogy.......if not for the third movie 🙁

Not probable as of today but always a possibility.

The laws of physics is the same through-out the entire universe, as far as the universe is detected, so I can't see it happening for a very very long time.

then, what are certain people doing when they are talking about the past as if they have really seen it?........Like can see it?......Is it in their mind?

YEs it is in their mind.

I believe Time travel is impossible, Time is fake, Time Travel states that you can change the past or future which is impossible or everything which would have happened in you life might not have happened, someone might have already changed it, but it did happen, so nobody ever has done time travel so nobody will ever do time travel so it's impossible. We can only record what happened and guess what will happen.

I could pass a message through my families generations saying:
"if you have a time machine go back to 31st August 2005 and stop all the wrong doings"
But it'd never happen, nobody will come.

Bahh, I got called a stupid **** at the quantamn physics board for this notion, but then I served them a can of "wisdom" whoopass when I meationed how we all are just theorizing as it's not like any of us have been through time to prove the reality of it..

What I believe is time travel as we know it is IMPOSSIBLE. For one, you would have to travel faster then light, or alternatively, make space-time move around YOU, goodluck with that.

If you manage to pull one of those off, I believe you'd only be able to go into a distant future, I don't even think you'd be able to caculate how far, not that it would matter. Because only two scenarios would happen..

A) Like Sliders or Dragonball Z, you would be transported to an alternate timeline much like the one you left, but sense space-time had to fold around you, it's a completely differant continuam, and unlike those two series I don't think you'd be able to get hime.

B) Like Star Trek, you transport to the future only for there to be nothing at all. Because nothing has happend yet. Time has to catchup with you. Which could take litteralty eternity.

And traveling to the past would be even harder to do as I would think you'd have to go SLOWER then time..

So wether or not time travel is possible is not the question, the better question is it practical? And no, no matter if it was less grim and doom as I intterputed it, it would never be practical and therfore should be discarded along with many other Dr. Frankenstien ideas such as fetus stem-cells and cloning.. To lesser extents ofcourse..

I do believe you can travel time using Black Holes, but you don't know what could happen then.

You mean worm hole

I know what would happen! you would get all squishy and torn apart, then your atoms would get torn apart. When you got to the other side you would be something like gamma rays. Nice way to travel. 😘

There are some Worm Holes in the universe that are so big you wouldn't be squished much atall, like the one in the middle of the Galaxy, you'd just step through into another time/universe altogther.

If you survive the singularity. Worm holes are only theory, we do not know if any exist. Black holes and worm holes are not the same thing, although a worm hole could be made by one black hole swallowing another one.
