You can, that's called Pixel Art. It's not as well polished but given the right amount of time and talent someone could create a great image.

really awesome site

🤨, sorry for sounding so dumb, but i've had a go at sigs (below), but ive never really known what a "brush" was. I've heard of grudge brushes, which i suppose are a type of brush. If anyone can explain brushes to me, i would apreciate it.

How to make own MSN Emoticons:

1. Create a new image 19x19 and zoom into 800% (zoom in by pressing ctrl and +)

2. Select the circle marquee tool and change its settings to:
Fixed Size
Width: 19px
Height: 19px

3. Make a circle and fill (edit > fill) it with #5B5B5B

4. Create a new layer

5. Change the circle marqee tools setting to:
width: 17px
height: 17px

6. Make a circle selection in the middle of the last circle.

7. On your pallete, change the first color to #FFF752 and the second to #EFB521.

8. Using the linear gradient, fill the circle selection from top-left to bottom-right. (see picture below)

Good! You just made the base for your smiley! Now time to draw the face!

On MSN smilies, their are some set rules of colors to follow:

lips: #BF7120
pupils: #521808
eye outline: #77651A

If you follow these color guidelines, you will be fine!

For this tutorial, we will be making a smiling emoticon!

1. First we will make the eye outlines. Zoom in to 1600% (zoom in by pressing ctrl and +) Create a new layer.

2. Select your circle marqee tool and set it to:
Fixed Size
Width: 4px
Height: 6px

3. change the foreground color on the color palette to #77651A

4. select and fill two circles with #77651A

5. Change the foreground color to #521808, the color of the pupils.

6. Select the pencil tool and draw the pupils in the eye outlines

7. Color the rest of the eye (inside the eye outline) with white.

8. Change your foreground color to #BF7120

9. Using the pencil, draw a mouth like the picture

10. Save your emoticon as a .Gif.

Yay you are done! Now you can make your own faces! Remember, follow the color guidelines and you will be fine! 💃

OK, I know this is probably a stupid question, but I do not know ANY thing about making sigs so I have to ask. I have the the measurements for my my sig but the KB is to high. The original pic was 51.1Kb, what I did was take a part of the pic that I liked away from the rest and made it the right measurements, When I did this the it went to 171KB. Now here is the thing, I do not know what a KB is so I do not know how to fix it and all I have to do this on "paint" the one that comes on all computers.
😂 See I told you I do not know what I am doing 😂
Can any one help?

Brushes are basically custom paintbrushes that you can download and install to use in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. PS brushes end in .abr, and PSP brushes end in .jbr. You install them by putting them in the Brushes folder in the program's folder.

KB is kilobytes, and it measures the size of the file when you save it. The max limit for sigs on KMC is 30KB.

Check what kind of file you're saving it as. You should save it as either a JPEG (.jpg) or GIF (.gif), as those are the only kind of files you can upload on KMC.

I know this is going to sound really horribly noobish, but...

How do you get your signature and text in your signature to be centered when it shows up when you post?

^^^ Do [Center] and {/Center] exept with the { as [

Ok thank but how do I make it a jpg or gif? I am sorry, I have to agree with hotsauce6548, that this makes me sound like a noob, not to mention stupid but you have to start somewhere

When you save, go to Save As and under the field where you type in the name of the file, there should be a dropdown box that gives you a bunch of choices as to how you want to save it; select either .jpg or .gif.

Don't worry about it 🙂

Thx 😄 !

Thx 😄 !

If it doesn't work, let me know and I can re-save it for you so that it's small enough to use 😊

And you're welcome.

Thx I got it!

How do you make a fading effect and merge pics?

Layers. Paste one of the images on top of the other as a new layer, then go to Layer Properties in Paint Shop Pro or double-click the layer in the layer pallete in Photoshop and play with the blend modes and opacity until it looks how you want it to.

Precisely what programmes can manipulate pictures?

Pretty much any graphics program, from Paint to Photoshop. Paint is very limited, though, pretty much you can invert colors and that's it. Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop are the most used graphics programs; PSP costs a lot less and can do many things that PS can. I personally mainly use PS7, though I still have and occasionally use PSP7. If you're starting out, try using PSP, it's much easier to get the hang of, and then move up to PS.
