Signature Help/Tutorials

It's not a sig one either, but I'm sure it'd work in Gimp, at least similarly.....

This is hard to explain, but...how do you get an image kind of curved not a complete square, on PSP 7?

For example, I have this:

on my PSP screen, but as soon as I try to upload it, it has a white background:

Like my new sig up there? ^ 😛

(and sorry for the big images 😮)

You can't unless you save it as a transparent GIF.

I stumbled upon a great site, www.guildinn.com It's pretty new and doesn't have a lot of tutorials yet but the ones it does have are fantastic. It's well worth a look.

I use Gimp, But It's still Similar.

on photoshop you just stroke the font in the blending options but i have never used gimp i guess its gonna be the same

Yeah, in Photoshop, you can go to the Blending Options for the text layer and there will be a "Stroke" option.

Perhaps there's something like that on GIMP?

Sadly, There are just Basic Blending Options. 🙁 (Soft Light, Value, Screen etc..)

There's 'Stroke Selection' Under 'Edit', but that Whores the whole thing Up...

Maybe I'll ask On Gimptalk....

What you could try, is selecting the text, expanding the selection, and filling in the extra selection space with the color you want the stroke to me....if that made any sense....

I was thinking that.

Or you could select the text, and then put a Stroke around the selection, if they have an "Outside" option. 😬

I used to use the 'expand selection' thing to add strokes when I used PSP because the actual stroke option tended to look crappy, especially when trying to add a stroke to a pixel font...plus you couldn't change the size.

Another thing I'd do for a partial border, is make two layers with the text, exactly the same, with the bottom layer the color you want for the stroke and top layer the color you want the text to be, and move the top layer so a little bit of the bottom layer showed, and then merging the two layers.

Pls. help me on how to make my signature. We have some projects about this and I try looking on tutorials in google and i found this site.

why do i keeping geting the 30k error? i always get it and even though i set the quality slider in below 30ki it still happens! i have one that i set to 0 in the slider and still no.what can i do to fix this?

well see how big it really is.........find the image on ur comp....right click on it and go to properties.....and it should show a file size somewhere

Eye Colouring Tutorial on Paint Shop Pro
I don't know if this has been done but anyways...

First start off with an image of an eye. It can be close up or faraway, btw it doesn't really matter.

Then get the airbrush and set it to full opacity and choose the colour you would like the ey to be. (Keep in mind that it doesn't have to be a solid colour).

Make a new layer and colour carefully the iris and pupil with your chosen colour.

Now right click the layer and choose 'Properties'. On the blend mode drop down, choose soft light. You can toy around with the blend you use though, but I think Soft Light gives the best effect.

Alter the opacity if you think it needs it and voila! A new coloured eye.

I got PSP X so you're not alone lol. Look around for tutorials for each of the PSP programmes because they are more or less the same. If you used the eraser tool you could blend, or use the clone brush. Click on help on the psp toolbar and choose learning center and a window pops up at the site of the workspace and tells you stuff.
