The Suggestion Thread

That takes away from it being a public forum. Private forums are for what your talking about.

I'm REALLY pressing that we get a feature that when people are ignored, they can't post in your threads.

REALLY PUSHING.

You can't have that in a public forum.

Not your choice if we can or not. You don't own KMC.

CHILDREN!

I'm not saying it is my choice. I am debating the suggestion just as I did with the other one.

No you're not. You said it can't be done. That's not a debate.

The point is right. It's a public forum and there is zero chance of people being given control, by default, over threads just because they create them.

So? We should still have it that if someone's ignored, their threads are ignored too.

But like I said... It's just an idea.

I honestly don't see the point on the ignore function. You'd only use it if someone is harassing you... And if this was so, you could always suck it up or report it to a mod. The ignore function has always seemed null and void to me.

What would that achieve, not being able to see their threads?

Oh, oops. Wrote out the wrong thing.

Meant to be have people on your ignore list, not able to enter your threads.

It would just cause less fights IMO.

Why can't you just ignore them anyways regardless of wether or not you can see their stuff?

If someone quotes them, you see their posts. Not to mention, they can still annoy the hell out of you.

Not saying anyone in particular though. It's just like when Diddy was here, and in my thread annoying me. If I could have ignored him out, I would have and went on my way.

Less fights? What would cause more fights then plain old rejection from someones thread... It's flame baiting in it's most blatent form.

srug Seemed like a good idea 5 minutes ago.

Then just be the bigger person and get a laugh out of it. Things can only annoy you if you let them.

Besides which, the majority of such requests would ceom from the off-topic area, where the idea is even more ludicrous seeing as thread control is not enforced there, save for comm sense areas of bashing etc.

I am afraid it has always been an absolute, no to thread starters having any control or say over their threads by default.

Thats easier said then done.

For example, I'd love to ignore you....But it didn't achieve anything by doing it. You still went into my threads, and still angered my friends.

I saw all your posts, because ignore doesn't block quotes.

The ignore feature could be buffed up a bit.

And yet thread creators get to dictate the demise of their own threads... They get the power to close through request... hmm
