I don't have access to IE right now, but will debug this when I'm on a Windows machine.

Well, Xp with Firefox 2.0.0.4 ... though it is odd, my notebook with the same shows up as it was before. Not sure about Ubuntu.

What other info would you need?

Have a board/mini-board for Star Wars character "respect threads" like how there's a "Comic Book 'respect' forum".

I've always dreamed of (well, not literally) being able to have a Grievous or Darth Maul respect thread. 😍

Or do they allow those in the Star Wars boards we already have? 😕 If not, I hope this suggestion gets taken into consideration some day. 🙂

Put all the Vs. forums together into their own category, let them have their "Vs. All" forum, and put a 1000 post requirement to get into it. haermm

Meh. That doesn't sound like a bad idea (though it would get a little confusing after awhile), but why have a 1000 post requirement? That's crazy.

So sockers have to wait a long ass time before participating.

How so? I for one happen to enjoy the comic book respect board, as do lots of others.

What's keeping you from starting Respect threads directly in the Star Wars forums? Why does it need a full subforum by itself?

In the comic book forums new topics were getting crushed by respect threads getting updated frequently so they were given a new forum away from other topics to make it easier to navigate.I assume the same thing happened in the star-wars forum.

Up the avatar file size alot... We could have some wicked Avatars made up and used if it was higher...

We did it for the signatures, why not Avatars?

Seconded.

More and more people are on Cable/DSL or higher, and more capable of handling lots of images on screen at a higher file size...especially now that we are only allowed 20 posts per page and no more.

Are we talking about animated avatars?

If not, could you post some samples that can't currently be used?

You mean animated/GIF avatars? That would be sweet.

Usually they would be animated, but sometimes transparent (which I am known to like...a lot) can't fit and you have to sacrifice nearly all quality in order to get it on KMC. Examples:

The image is too pixelated, with white spots all around it. I had originally saved it as a .png which was perfect, but surpassed the KMC limit by about 5kb.

Once again, it's too pixelated, the source image was 50x smoother than this before I had to dumb it down to fit on the server.

They may not look that bad to most people, but to a designer like myself, it's horrendous.

Personally I'm not asking for much, maybe just a bump from 10kb to 20kb.

If theres no objections, I see no harm in upping it by 10k.

On a side note ... we have new thread previews.
