I'm not sure come to think of it, I always find the fail safe terminal and use that to escape I never do what "Betty" tells you, strange to think the Dr turned himself into a little girl in there.

Just go to the abandoned house and create the song using the objects inside which will unlock the terminal...

Yeah, when that woman came up to me and told me about the abandoned house, I went there but I was still alittle confused about what to do. You know what happens if you listen to what he says, right?

A doctor turning himself into a little girl, FREAK!!!

You see the objects in the abandoned house like the gnome and the block and the bottle etc, you have to press them in a certain order to create a song of sorts, this song will then open up the access area for the fail safe terminal.

Anyone else notice the Child's play reference when speaking to Timmy?

Didn't know that.

But do you know what you have to do for Betty?

Make Timmy cry...apparently.

After that:

You have to then break up the, I think it was the Rockwells, by placing lady's underware in the basement, and showing the wife.

You then have to kill, shit who was it, some woman, I can't remember, by asking her to make some food for him, and you already started the oven, and she burns herself to death, or push a skate to the stairs and watch her slip on the skate and die.

Put on a creepy clown mask, and get a kitchen knife from the dog house, and then you are a pint size slasher, and then, well you should know the rest, but just in case, KILL EVERYONE, except for Betty, darn it, I wish I could have killed her.

Wow how this game rocks! A close to perfect blend of genres set in an amazing gameworld. Get it!

Seriously, now!

I have no idea, as i told you i never did anything Betty said, i always found the access terminal...and well opened up the "program"

I just started the game. It's seems really slow. Does the action pick up after you leave the shelter and go into the city?

Depends what you mean by 'action'. If you want to kill stuff, go exploring the wasteland, you'll find mutants/raiders/critters and stuff. Or just wander into a friendly town, pull out your shotgun and see how many civilian heads you can blow off.

Half of the 'action' is in interactions with NPCs: finding side quests, making choices that could alter the game, getting feedback from how you respond etc. If you want a good side quest with plenty of fighting and decision making, go to Tenpenny Tower and start the Ghoul quest. Go see Mister Burke in Megaton first though, and see how you want his quest to play out.

This game is amazing I think i like more then Oblivion. I am not very far into the main story just got to the radio station and god fighting that giant mutant was awesome. The most shocking part of the game for me was blowing off a dogs head, I felt bad as I generally try not to kill dogs in video games

The main quest is incredibly short...but yes it does.

I just ventured off into the area and stumbled into the Brotherhood of the Steel and am now trying to find a dish for the Washington Monument. It's kinda getting exciting now. Those ****ing raiders, though!

The game is a roleplaying game, not really action.

I played it like an action game. I didnt really use VATS alot. When you get a full functional combat shotgun, you can literally kill everything.

Just bought Fallout 3, not yet decided when I should start playing, I have an exam two days and another one in five days, so I'm unsure of how wise it is for me to start playing it now...

Anyways. looking through the booklet, anyone got any tips for valuable skills?

I love the part when Three Dog compares me to Buddha or Jesus! Hahaha!!! That was fun!

Thats always funny, if you kill him some woman named Margret takes his place, and she's hardly up to his standards believe me. (I think it's Margret anyway.)

The perks on where you gain more skill points helps you out if you want to have a high science, lockpick, repair skills.

How in the F*ck do you properly pick locks? 😛 It's very frustrating.

Trial and error. Turn the bobby pen in the lock, then turn the screw driver, the closer you are to picking the lock, the more the lock will turn before the pin begins to break.
