"Hero"-4.5 For great fight scenes and very good cinematography and acting.

This was definately NOT the Hero I was talking about! This one was some mega-drama starring Dustin Hoffman and Andy Garcia.

"The Passion of the Christ"

Synoposis:This highly controversial film shows the last twelve hours of Christ life where he endured betrayal, flogging, and crucifixtion

Review:This movie is one my favorites and one of the best films I have ever seen. There is so much heart and care put into this film and it is one of the few that actually made me cringe, shocked, and emotional unstable at the same time.Jim Caviezel really is oscar worthy he plays the suffering and aguish so good that its hard to tell that he's just acting, and although there isnt alot of diolague in the film a story like this doesnt require words but merely the reaction and the eyes of the characters that says more than the actors could. The flogging scene was done very well,I kept looking at seeing how they where doing this stuff and making it look so real at the same time. The part where they rip a chunk of Jesus's flesh out with a wip with glass in it was great cinema and a really gripping moment. All an All a great flick to own for your collection something to view every year or so because it really isnt something you watch over and over so go out and buy it,its worth your money.

I am taking a point of for some of its drug out scenes that felt like they where just a little too long for its own good, and I didnt like that whole devil girl walking around, but other than that this movie is great.

shit

"This highly controversial film shows the last twelve hours of Christ life"

How ironic, the film feels like it IS 12 hours long.

So without the long scenes, you would have given this a 5.5 out of 5 rating?

Here my latest and last reviews.See my goodbye message in the thread in the questions forum.

"Paparazzi"

Synoposis-A man seeks vengeance on the Paparazzi after him and his family are involved in an accident they caused

Review-In this lame atempt to please audiences with a thrill ride about a guy who after his being in a carwreck involving his family that the press caused swears vengeance on them, but heres the thing I dont get-why is this movie star killing the people involving the accident when nobody died? Its extremely hard to like a guy when he's causing people's death when even though there telling lies about his life havent nesseccarily done anything to deserve death. The movie is just a mess from beginning to end filled with bad diolage, bad characters whom we could care less about, and the overused "revenge" plot. All an All not worth a rent and certainly not worth a viewing at the cinema.

"Paparazzi"-1/5
"The Cookout"
Synopsis: When Todd Anderson signs a $30 million deal with his hometown team, the New Jersey Nets, he knows that his life is set for a big change. To keep things real, he decides to throw a barbeque at his place -- just like the ones his family used to have. But when you have new and old friends, family, agents, and product reps in the same house, things are bound to get crazy.
Review:Yet another african american movie with crude sex jokes and loud mouth black people who discrimate there race with every movie they make.It had its laughs, mostly coming for Queen Latifah but "The Cookout" misses with its stupid humor and every african american sterotype joke you can possibly imagine. Its just a raunchy comedy that lacks originaltiy.A word for the director next time you make a flick (god forbid)try and make something with an actual story and characters that's diolage dont consist of race jokes and sex, drugs, thanks.
"The Cookout"-1/5
"South Park : Bigger,Longer,and Uncut"

Synoposis:Afte an R-rated movie corrupts the boys from south park's minds there mothers blame the stars of the film which somehow will cause the next armeggedon if they arent freed.

Review:What a nutshell.'South Park" trys to have good original humor but fails.I mean watching 3rd graders swear is only funy for so long until it just gets old and repetative and the worst part is that there really not that much more to the movie. Its tacky plot about these two canadian characters and them being sent to death for starring in a dirty movie and somehow satan and his gay lover Saddam Husein are going to take over the world.I'll admit the Conan O'Brien gag was funny and so was the war scene at the end but thats all which is really sad.All an All "South Park" trys to be creative and different but just ends up being a repetative drag thats not worth a rent or a buy.

"South Park : Bigger,Longer,and Uncut"-1/5

"Resident Evil:Apocalyspe"

Synoposis:Begins where the first film left off, with Alice (Jovovich) in the heart of the ravaged and deadly Raccoon City. She has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation by the vast Umbrella Corporation and become genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.

Review:Although this movie filled with great action sequences it lacks plot of story and good acting.I dont like how it skips into the zombie stages of the city so quickly leaving no time for us to see how the virus was unleashed and when people where first turning into zombies. The plot was tacky as we get this cheesy rescue story and unbelievable scenes. One in particular was where Alice ramed through the window of a church with a motorcycle where people where being terroized by zombies, and we the audience are thinking-how did she know the people where on the other side and how did she know where she was going to land?Plus the whole "tough girl thing I cant be hurt" gets annoying and when its combined with bad acting the outcome isnt pretty. The script just felt like it was rushed and could've used a re-write.All an All worth a rent if your a die-hard fan of Resident Evil or just want to be filled in on what happened. It has some good action scenes and Nemesis is portrayed perfectly but you shouldnt expect much in the story and character part of the story.

"Resident Evil:Apocalyspe"-1.5/5

"Mean Girls"
Synoposis:A girl who homeschooled all her life moves to Illinois and attends a public high school where she becomes friends with three girls who turn out to be not so nice.
Review:Just when you gave up home on teen comedies just when you thought they where gone and overused "Mean Girls" came around and you hope. The movie is refreshing and Tina Fey's screenplay is very funny and full of great laughs.I just love seeing Lohan on-screen and seeing what she can do with a role and I think she really stands out from most teen actresses nowdays unlike coughHILARY DUFFcough. But despite how great she is we owe most of the jokes to the supporting cast who are very funny and portray there roles really well. Also despite it laughs theres also a serious side to "Mean Girls" because it shows what highschool is really like today and all the backstabbing and gossip that can go on between girls. All an All worth a rent, worth a purchase and every time you see it it will put a big smile on your face.
"Mean Girls"-4/5

"The Day After Tomorrow"
Synoposis:A climatologist tries to figure out a way to save the world from abrupt global warming. He must get to his young son in New York, which is being taken over by a new ice age
Review:I must say that the special effects in this film are beyond amazing. The scenes of Manhattan being flooded and the Hollywood sign being torn to shreds is almost worth the purchase of the dvd itself. But what seems to be taking the praise that "TDAT" deserves is its plot where the father travels through blizzards and snow to get to his son who is in a library in New York.Let me just say that the plot isnt as cheesy and it may seem and you could care less about the plot when your seeing New York covered in snow so I wouldnt be to worried about that. But to the bad sides some of acting was quite cheesy and the film could've used a better explanation of what was going on that the average joe could understand. Also the film was just thirty minutes to long. All an All "TDAT" is a awesome movie which only problem seems to be its length and few plot holes but still worth a rent or a purchase.
"The Day After Tomorrow"-3.5/5

"Shrek 2"
Synoposis:The newlyweds Shrek and Fiona set out to meet Fionas inlaws. But when the Fiona's fairy god mother finds out that Fiona got together with Shrek instead of her son Prince Charming she's not to happy.
Review:"Shrek" still remains my favorite out of the two but this one is almost as good. Its capability of spoofing movies and fairytales without being repetative is amazing. Its just funny and entertaining to see the different characters from fairytales they'll introduce and all the actors who are being the voices do a great job.The animation is top notch and really fun to look at.Puss in Boots is possibly the funniest new character and the writers did a great job with his diolage and the animator did and even better job making him look small and cuddly but at the same time fierce and full of energy. All an All "Shrek 2" is without a doubt some of the best fun you will have with a movie this year and worth a rent and an instant purchase.
"Shrek 2"-4.5/5

"Man on Fire"
Synopsis: Based on a true story, "Man on Fire" concerns an embittered former marine who moves to Italy and becomes a bodyguard for an Italian family. After the couple's 10-year old daughter is kidnapped and killed, he devotes himself to avenging her death.
Review:Yet another revenge film but this one has taste and a different look and feel.Denzel Washington is awesome and Dakota Fanning proves again that she is one of the best child actresses around. After the little girl in which Denzel Washington is protecting is kidnapped he goes on a rampage killing everyone who was involve and who profited from it.But before that we get an hour of story and character development and we see Denzels and Fanning's relationship grow so its that much more shocking and sad when she is kidnapped.Another thing I like about the film is that Washington is so ruthless and doesnt show mercy and creates new way for getting information out of people that most havent yet seen in a film such as cutting off the persons fingers,or stick a bomb up there butt and he never shows mercy.Another great thing is that the film is set in Mexico and its nice to see a film set in a city besides New York or L.A.All an All worth a rent or a purchase.

"Man on Fire"-4/5

"Shark Tale"
Synoposis:In this undersea CGI flick, Robert De Niro plays Don Lino, a mob shark who's looking to expand his operation. When one of his sons is killed by an errant anchor, a young punk named Oscar (Will Smith), disgruntled with his job at a day spa and car wash for whales, claims responsibility and is hailed as a hero.
Review:First let me say that this film was a fun film to watch and clean to take your kids to see.The animation makes it appeal to younger audiences but the voice and spoofs will attract older audiences to and I like how it appeals to everyone to a certain degree. The film has heart and it has a nice story and likeable funny characters and what more could you ask for in a film? The film will also teach the younger audience a good lesson about lying and the messes it can get you in.Most flaws in this movie arent worth mention so even though its not the best animation of its kind ive seen I still recommend this movie.
"Shark Tale"-3.5/5

"Ladder 49"

Synoposis😖tory of a veteran firefighter who, while trapped in what could be the fire that will kill him, looks back over his professional life, his heroic career and his family life.
Review:In this truely genuine and well made movie Joaquin Phoenx plays a firefighter who is caught it a building fire as he looks back on his life. And whats great about the movie is thats it not this big hollywood movie where there this thrilling rescue and non-stop action. Its a film with heart and understanding of a firefighters life and his dedication to the force and his journey to becoming a man.Throughout the whole film you spend time getting to know these characters and it make the rescue all the more interesting and gripping and when the film reaches its finish you want to just pause and recap what you just saw.All an All definetly worth a view in the cinema and an purchase on dvd.
"Ladder 49"-4/5

"Office Space"
Synoposis:A man's long and boring life in a cubicle when he decides to use a scam that will cheat the company and earn him millions of dollars.
Review:Its a funny movie but doesnt get as much laughs that one would expect. There's some parts that will keep you on the edge of your seat laughing but then those parts go and they dont come back that often. Its more of like serious humor and it doesnt work for laughs but expects people to laugh at ordinary things like a pencil dropping or a man having to come in to work on a saturday. The actors on the other hand did a good job and I like the creative characters that where introduced such as:the guy who keeps having to move his desk, the nerd, and the loud hindu. Also the diolage is fun and witty and the boss is such a funny character. All an All full of laughs and you'll have alot in common with the characters. So if can go ahead and see it that would be ggreeeaaattt.
"Office Space"-3.5/5

"The Punisher"

Synoposis:After his family is visciously killed by a group of notorius mobsters,Frank Castle seeks vengeance.

Review:"This isnt revenge, its punishment" yeah punishment on the audience. The film "The Punisher" creates a nice and emotional set up to the story making us feel for the character but the film just drifts off from there. We get these pointless low-bugdet action sequences and two hours of a mindless setup to a finale that didnt need that much time to be setup. Most of the movie is spent on Frank Castle spending time at the apartment drinking, being depressed, and then getting revenge. The pointless attempts on Castle's life as when two hitmen (both at different parts of the movie) are sent at him.He kills both of them despite the odds (duh) and in the end you feel like those scenes where put there to waste time. The movie only took 50 days to make and believe me,it shows up on-screen as the script and the movie feel rushed and crammed. All an All the film has good acting and John Travolta potrays the villian so well and Thomas Jane plays the punisher well also and that it has a very nice first 30 minutes, but its useless fight scenes that felt like they where put there to take up time, its bad story past the half hour mark, and its less than interesting diolage im not recommending it.

"The Punisher"-2/5
"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"
Synoposis:Famous scientists around the world have mysteriously disappeared and Chronicle reporter Polly Perkins (Gwyneth Paltrow) along with ace aviator Sky Captain (Jude Law) are on the investigation. Risking their lives as they travel to exotic places around the world, can the fearless duo stop Dr. Totenkopf, the evil mastermind behind a plot to destroy the earth? Aided by Franky Cook (Angelina Jolie), commander of an all-female amphibious squadron, and technical genius Dex (Giovanni Ribisi), Polly and Sky Captain may be our planet's only hope
Review:I respect the directors vision and making a film different visually from what audiences have seen before, but despite it great action sequences at the beginning the movie just turns into same old "save the world movie".The characters arent that likeable and there personalties and backgrounds are a little hard to figure out which can get confusing.I also thought it was just a little to predicatble and that it focused more on paying homage than making new movie. All an All I recommend a rent or buy for what the film does have to offer like effects and a something people are rarely gonna see in a flick.Just dont expect the whole film to be as fun as the first 30 minutes.
"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"-3/5

wow those are some bad reviews SD 😉

king arthour-This is also a great flick filled with great acting and a very good script on the origin of arthours life. The sets and cinematography are amazing like what you would expect from a bruckhiemer production.
