yap she does has an amazing voice.........but in most of their songs he voice does sound a lil bit too much like opera IMO. she can for sure sing but personally I don't like that opera sound.

Whitney Houston did have an amazing voice. I'd still go with Aretha just cause of the old school soul.

There really aren't any pure male singers anymore; at least ones that would have survived in the Motown era. Craig David and Usher's voices would have been worthy of backup singing, but that's it.

Aretha is for sure one of the greatest female singer of all time.
