Dean> “we ruled over a vast empire that was the biggest the world had ever seen.” 😆 I am sure you rule over exactly nothing.
Taking pride in mowing down Zulus with machine cannons border on facism in my views.
My language is Danish.
And the nearly one million Indians who died during the British conquest of India is something that makes you proud???
The… Illuminati??? Ah, it’s those pesky Freemasons who shot JFK, killed Marilyn Monroe, were behind the death of Princess Diana, John Lennon and everyone else!? Yes, OF COURSE. Silly me. This shadow-government who’re working with Aliens from outer space to… ehrm control the Earth which they already do, but hey… business as usual… They’re also Satanists, right?
Creechur> “I consider the NAACP just as hateful and racist as the KKK.” Are you deliberately avoiding the point I was trying to make?
Which organisation came first?
“Don't you see the hypocrisy?”
I don’t see any more (or less) hypocrisy when it comes to the conservatives in the US than the liberals.
“They don't have to take the grants. I wouldn't take a grant based on my skin color or nationality because I have MORALS.”
You’re a white male. You’ve never experienced being biased against based on something you didn’t choose yourself. So it’s easy for you to say that YOU have morals, and people who chose a special grant made out to them as amoral. You MUST see both sides of the story, before making a statement as the above – which indirectly accuses people of bad morals because they may have no alternative.
“The US court system is deplorable. I'm personally ashamed of it. There is no justice, just drawn out BS and monetary rewards.”
Now, whose fault is that?
Stand by your analogy all you want. I do not view the US as a “celebrity” on the world-scene. I view it as the only current super-power, that is, a country with monetary and military power to wreck a lot of havoc so to speak. This – the constant intervention in other countries - is why there is so much focus on the US. Not because there’s glamour and fame. I disagree strongly with the Bush-administrations foreign policy, but don’t accuse every single American of being insane or to blame for the state of affairs.
I HAVE been in the US. I’ve lived there for a year, and visited friends countless times. Why is it cheaper for ME to visit the US, than it is for my US friends to visit me?
Feanor>” and for those that hate this country that live IN this country, then get a job, earn some money, buy a plane ticket then leave...because if anything, you'll always have a choice...”
Why are critical Americans not allowed to stay and try to CHANGE the stuff that doesn’t work. That ”Love it or leave it” crap sounds like you’ve been brainwashed.
Omegaman> So, what ARE the statistics? I can’t judge how great a country is by how many people want to get in. They may not know what it’s really LIKE to LIVE in said country. I’d judge it by what the people LIVING there says… When not being yelled at to leave if they’re being critical.
