Hayden as Anakin in ROTJ Video

Okay...

So, while I really don't have a problem with this change...

I do have one observation:

If Anakin dies when he falls in the lava, and then lives the rest of his life as Vader, and then comes back at the end of "ROTJ" as Anakin again because he returned to the light side. Then in reality, he should be standing at the end of Jedi as a blob of flesh with a head....because he returns to the light side when he kills the Emperor...as at that moment, he becomes a Jedi again....(hence the title of the movie: RETURN of the JEDI)

But, I'm willing to thrown out this bit of logic in this case.

I'm a hard core SW fan...I have been since I saw 'Jedi' in the theaters when I was a kid no older than three. And I have no problem with Lucas making improvements to these films....sure, the technology exists to improve the films...so, fine...do it. But don't change them. Fix the Max Rebo band scene, but don't turn it into that Jedi Rocks crap. Add a descent clip of Vader arriving on his star destroyer, but don't change his dialouge from "Bring my shuttle "...to alert my star destroyer to prepar for my arrival"....it's just lame. So...fix them and update them, but don't change them. ....Unless it's an improvment....

and if he can't figure out what are good changes, then he can call me anythme and I'll let him know

On a good note, he has added a lot of footage to the lightsabre duel in Empire Strikes back....it'll be a lot more intense than it was originally

Anyhoo...

There's been some discussion as to whether or not it is prudent for GL to change the films. One person suggested that he is doing it for the sake of continuity.

Continuity? How about this: Make the prequels so that they blend into the OT, not the other way around!! Am I crazy here?

YOU DON'T CHANGE A WORK OF ART! PERIOD!! When they set out to clean the Sistene Chapel, they didn't add a Ferarri to the mural! They just made it cleaner and brighter. I wouldn't have a problem if this was all GL was doing to the OT. Cleaning it up, making it brighter, improving the sound.

Adding in previously deleted scenes that add to the story or flesh out the characters is ok also. Scenes like that were shot at the time, and go with the overall mood of the film style.

What GL has done is he has ruined 26 years of good memories for me.

Well its sad that memories are ruined for you, but there are still the originals out there. Sure, they never really got the face-life that the SE with the prequel stuff added in is getting, but theyre there none the less. Everyone has their opinions, and its not like anyone is being forced to watch the newer versions, its just an option you can take. Like I said, I sorta like the new stuff, especially the clean-ups and the added effects.

If Luke only saw the Sebastion Shaw Ani, at the end of RotJ, wouldn't Luke be like: "Who the hell is that young guy beside Yoda?!?!!??!"

i will try soon for the people who are interested in the diferecnes 2 look at the old version and the new version a side by side comparison frame by frame 2 see what all differences exactly are it might take me some time 2 do the comparison but no problem ill do it for the people who really want 2 know all diferences.
