Actually thats the first time I have heard that idea put out there. He has the physical appearance although I haven't seen much of his previous work so I'm not sure on his acting skills.

The guy who played the big strong bad guy in Chronicles of Riddick. He looks like Venom to me. Somebody take a look at him and tell me what you think... i cant be the only one.

He seems ok, but personally I think he would be better off playing Carnage instead as he doesn't really have the physical characteristics of Eddie Brock. He also seems a bit small as you can see in the picture below as he is standing next to Orlando Bloom.

I remember awhile back Wizard magazine did a casting call for Spider-Man and picked Howie Long for Brock/Venom. If they could use their Hollywood magic to take a few years off him, I think Long would be perfect.

Um, no. I'd say Howie Long, but thinking about it I don't think it will matter who we want because I have a funny feeling they're going to have John Jameson bring the symbiote back from a space mission. Jameson already has a grudge against Parker for stealing his woman so Venom will probably steal her back and Spidy will have to go get her. All you comic purists can shut up right now, because it's not like MJ ever even dated Jameson in the comics in the first place. And Jameson is a wolf...thing... and I don't see that happening anytime soon in the movies, so why introduce the character unless they have bigger plans for him?

ok i saw howie long, and that guy from riddick, its clearly gonnna be some young actor, mostly along the lines of, oh i dont know,,,,,,,,hayden christiansen that seems ver feezable, shame on you whoever said howie long oh and dont listent o spideys sister ive read her posts she knows as much about spiderman as a new born infant
