Yes, already saw some eagles... amazing animals [even as a fan of the fell beats i have to admit that 😛 ], i like their elegance and the proud way they move.. and their eyes, wow.

What I hate about eagles most is that they dont like nazgul, that one ruined Morgoths pretty face and that they killed Ancalagon the Great Black Dragon

yeah i know..and while were talking about owls one scratched me in the face beofre because it did a scary head turn thing...so i tried to turn it back....

and i parrot swore at me...stupid colourful crow!

i once met an eagle in OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAKKKKlahoma whith the wild wind sweeping down the plain! (sory everytime i mention Oklahoma i have to sing that song)
it was an indian vilage fest thing and this guy had an injured one or somethi and he like perched on his wrist...realy cool and majestic...😄

to be honest i dont think Glaurung would win as he cant fly...im not just saying this because i prefer eagles, although i do love the occasional Dragon....*cough SMAUG cough*, lol but Thorondor would be so much more agile so he could dodge Glaurung's attack with ease and as for him being the first of Dragons, Thorondor was the Lord Of ALL Eagles 😛.

Other dragons? Well, like Exa said...Thorondor and his buddies killed Ancalagon the Black during the War of Wrath (well, technically Earendil was the one who gave the final blow but Thorondor, etc. had a huge part on it (actually "huge" is an understatement but you get the idea)...and Ancalagon is a winged dragon and he's the greatest of them, so..yeah..flying is out of the question now..but Thorondor etc. still managed to take him out. 😄

that just goes to show Eagles rule,
