Overrated? Nobody liked it to begin with, and hardly ANYONE "rated" it to begin with. See, that's what you get for listening to other people.

well... no actually.
After it just appeared, everyone thought it was going to be huge, and plus the preview made it look worth watching, but it turned out to suck badly (except a few scenes which can take your heart out, or make you choke on your food).
I meant it drawn too much attention.

Well, that may be so, but for something to be "overrated", the general consensus has to be that there's an overwhelmingly positive vibe about it even AFTER having seen it, when there's a slew of obvious flaws.

Overhyped, naturally, because it's M. Night Shymalan. Overrated, no, because the reputable critics bashed it.

Oh they did. Ebert hated this movie.

the film was crap. 8 people walked out half way of it showing and everyone booded at the end

People boo any movie. People would boo every Best Picture movie if they didnt like it.
It doesnt mean anything.

It does, seeing all the crappy reviews on it, also 8 people walked out!!! yeah ok i guess that doesnt mean anything.

i watched it a 2nd time and it wasnt half bad.
if only they didnt advertise it as a horror movie.

It doesnt.
You have no idea why somebody walked out?
Did you talk to them?

Maybe, there was an emergency.
True, its about even/steven with critical reviews at about 44%, which is bad but alot of the critics didnt like it because of the "crappy" supraise ending. If it was any other director and M.Night (king of supraise endings), they wouldnt of cared.

Very true, more of a headgame thing
