-say your friend or somebody you know was a victim of the same sh!t
-it would present a financial burden to you
-you have a conflict with the schedule... you're goin to vacationa nd you've already paid for it, no way of getting out.

if that fails, cry loudly and blabber incoherent sounds as if you were a banshee. for more excuses, consult dave chappelle.

The best excuse I've heard is - "I'm really good at judging who's guilty and innocent"

Also another funny one is "well the bible says....etc" Either of these will get you kicked out pretty quickly.
