because who said homosexually is a 'problem'? its not an illness why would u need meds? its like the persons personality, its they way they were born and the way they know how to live....like really whats it hurting anyone if some people like the same sex? I dont see how its a problem to anyone.

If you knew me even a little bit you'd have realised that by 'no regrets' I simply meant that out of all the experiences I have had, I regret none. Nowhere did I say that I have no conscience, not once did I say that I've hurt people but couldn't care less. All I meant by that was I've lived, I've been through pain and I class my experiences so far as a learning curve. I've grown from my mistakes and achievements, and I don't have regrets.

I dont understand why the hell are homosexuals anyone's business? Why does everyone feel the need to stick their nose into other people's business?

How does person being gay affect anyone else? It doesnt, so why dont people just lay off?

People who judge homosexuals are too busy doing exactly that to turn arround and look at their lives! Im sure there are plenty of things other people can condem them for!

your right it isnt anyones business... but i also dont think people should have to hide it cause really its nothing to be ashamed about. The reason why i made this forum was because i wanted to know what people thought about homosexuals...cause it seems now alot more people are ok with it then not ok with it and there is alot more homosexuals comming out. Plus ive experimented myself with the same sex and i know lots of people who have. Just wanted people opinions.

You know, as a whole I don't see a lot of negatives going out against homosexuals in this thread.

obviously there was a little debate over 2 males or 2 females adopting a child, but that was just discussion.

I did most of my posting yesterday, so i haven't been here to keep up with things, but I'm actually quite surprised that everyone has been so open minded about discussing bisexuality and homosexuality.

It definitly isn't something to be ashamed of and I think most...close to all...members have accepted homosexuals as the people they are, regardless of their sexual preferences.

This discussion would have been really really ugly 5 years ago. People as a whole have come a long way...

I don't actually think people have come a long way really. The change in times has pretty much forced people to change. Not so much of their own accord.

Reading those last few comments about this subject has got me wondering. A few years ago when the research on a 'gay gene' was being done, studies showed that around 2% of US males were homosexual now, as i've stated before my belive is that people are born homosexual rather than it being a product of life experience. SO my thoughts this evening are do you think that actually now adays in modern society people are experimenting with same sex relation ships as a result of curiosity? Almost as a fashion statement if you will! Could it becoming cool to be gay?

This isnt at all meant to be homophobic, just a topic of discussion.

The US is way behind Europe when it comes to accepting homosexuality.

Lots of people feel that "what happens behind closed doors is none of my business"; but yet they are against gay marriage and gay adoption.

They're tolerant, but not accepting.

Curiosity experiments dont usually blossom into relationships; their called one night stands.

I think the big issue with gay marriage is that by being married, instead of just "joined together" or whatever PC term is currently used, is that 2 sucessful gay business men, who are married, will get all of the tax breaks and tax cuts that were designed for heterosexually married people who plan raise children.

of course, adopting children, throws that issue right out the window. And i want to apologize if all of my comments seem either uneducated or homophobic, because I'm actually in favor of homosexual marriage.

I just had a class in college where we discussed some of the issues, and i thought i'd bring them up for discussion...

The problem with marriage is that its so heavily linked with the church and religion, marriage and all the legal rights it affords should be totally seperate to a religious ceremony. And i'm in favour of any two people be them straight or gay getting those rights.

The point I was trying to make I think was, if you take for example turrets syndrome, now swearing is probably the most commonly know symptom of the disorder, but if you had a child with turrets would it ever swear if it was never exposed to the words in the first place, so back on track, would these people experiment in this way were homosexuality not be becoming more prevalent in society?
