Well, the people who choose not to believe in evolution are wrong, too... You can choose not to believe in proven scientific theory, but it doesn't make it a matter of opinion. Humans evolved from early apes, which, like all other animals, have sex for one reason and one reason only, to reproduce. Humans treat sex differently, but face it, mother nature created it as a way to reproduce and nothing more.
So if the early apes did it for reproduction than were there any gay apes back then? I mean they obey natural instinct right?

I don't understand your point with that comment, but to tell you the truth, I have no way of knowing whether or not there are gay apes.
It was just a simple question. If the Apes followed their instict to reproduce is there a possibility of male apes trying to mate with other male apes?

Interesting thought... I doubt it, as far as I know, homosexuality is a uniquely human trait. Apes, despite their genetic structure being remarkably similar to our own, are simply less intelligent... Their reproductive habits are based more on instinct than ours, so I would guess no.
I guess it depends on whether or not homosexuality is naturally occuring
interesting reading on the subject of animal homosexuality http://www.wordiq.com/definition/Homosexuality_in_animals
"In October 2003 a study [3] (http://endo.endojournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/145/2/478) was released, stating, that homosexual behavior in sheep is related to a region in their brain (called "ovine sexually dimorphic nucleus" or oSDN). The scientists found: "The oSDN in rams that preferred females was significantly larger and contained more neurons than in male-oriented rams and ewes."
As another point of view to my evolution thought, maybe homosexuality is a genetic abnormality(not meaning that to sound derogatory) just as a defective gene can cause a person to be born blind or with some other disfuction, it could be as simple as a single defective gene (really not meaning this to sound derogatory at all and appologise if anyone takes offence)
Interesting article. So far the bonobo, some birds, a certain lizards, and sheep could have homosexual traits. Check this out about the gay gene:
