as a 15 year old guy i can tell you you shuld pick your age for your kid to start dating for me it was 15. (though i already had a girl friend awhile back) just see how ready your kid is to date. and if you want to check out your son/daughters date make the first date at your house for dinner it was my first date. there parents wanted to make sur i wasnt some sex freek running off with there daughter and i respect that, and even after the date my family became friends with her family, and whenever i go on a date i say where i am going who is going with me(cant single date till 17) and what time ill be back.
the tips i would give parents is
make sure there not going out with a sexoholic
know were they are who there with
and relax has some faith in your kids belive it or not there growing up. let us figure some stuff out on our own and gosh darn it dont be such a peeping tom dont ask did u get your kiss or did you plan a second date not only is it embarassing it is a little freeky seeing your parents so into your small but noticable love life 🙂 💃

im 14, just had ma first date in a cinema, seems like a good age to me... then again im male, its probably different for girls

at 16 all bets are off. at that age most girls are gonna skank out anyway! especially if they have overzealous parents. its the classic kid thing, the more ppl tell you not to do something the more you wanna and are gonna do it.

and for boys that age, only the really cool, popular ones can get girls anyway.(sheesh) i remember at that age i was so desperate i would have taken anything, and even the ugly girls with low self esteem would turn me down.

so parents need not worry, if your duaghter goes out on a date with a nerd or a geek or something, the most they'll do is hold hands and kiss a little, he'll be to happy he is on a date to be worrying about sex.
however, if its a jock or a "pretty boy roy" WATCH OUT!

I would say 15 or 16, that is a good age for dating IMHO.

16 or 17 is a good age. As long as the parents have meet the person they are dating.

I still say 10-12 is a good age.

13-14 IMHO

Depends ont eh child, how much you trust them and how you rased them, all kids are different, some can be trusted at 12, others can't be trusted till 21.

When you think they are mature enough and that they are over the age of fourteen then they should be able to date.JM

I say 13/14. Of course, if they want too that bad and you refuse, you go into the "I'm going to [best friend's] sleepover" situation.

I don't think teenagers should be dating until they are old enough to go out by themselves. I'd say 16 or 17. I mean, if they're old enough to drive alone, they're old enough to go out alone. Besides, they'll go out alone anyway.
