I was 16 and that was cause my father forbade me to date until I turned 16. But I let my daughter date when she was a freshman in high school.

That's a dad's greatest problem with daughter's

After all...you hate to see them growing up and away from you but you know that you have to let them go.

I restricted my beautiful daughter at age 16 and back by 11pm until she rebelled and started to defy me. Rather than fall out with her I gave in and made her promise that she would be sensible...Some hope !

Her best friend fell out with her and grassed on her that she had been smoking dope. ( I didn't even know that she smoked at all ! )....

Talk about ROW....We fell out for nearly a year over that one.

A sage once told me that, ( and excuse the terminology here but even if it's crude I believe that it is true )...."When your son goes out at night you have only one p**ck to worry about, but when your daughter goes out you have thousands of them to worry about !"

Thank heavens she made it through the teenage years and we became firm friends again !

Girls are an awful worry for dads !

Mine had a curfew until she graduated from high school. It changed as she got older. Freshman 11pm, Sophomore 11pm, Junior midnight, Senior 1am. When she was a Junior she started sneaking out the window of her room. I promptly nailed it shut. 😱

well in britain there isnt really all of this you cannot date nonsence!
i have been dating since i was around 10 yrs old but i never started to have sex until i was 15 1/2...
so i think if you push your kids to rebel then your more likely to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet!

oh and we worry about dads too you know!
it hurts us just as much as it hurts you when we fall out!
