The movie was awful, Halle looked good, that was it.
Powerfulone, I have to ask you how old you are, you seem to have an idealized image of Halle in your head. What she did was irresponsible regarding her car accident. And although she seems nice in her interviews, she also sounds self obsessed, overdramatic and not that intelligent.
I have met alot of celebrities (whether working with charities or just bumping into them cause alot of movies are shot around my area) and none of them seem to be what they show themselves to be on TV or movies. Some are nicer, some aren't.
Whatever the case, you don't know the woman, and I doubt you ever will, she couldn't give a crap what you think about her, so stop stressing yourself out.
I really like Catwoman.
4/5.
Come on people, it's Catwoman, not some hard-core action flick.
What I hate is people think that Patience and Selena are the same person just the script writers changed her name, it is it's not a clone of the Selena Kyle Catwoman, THEY'RE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PEOPLE. It's obvious they'd have different powers. You can tell they're different because when Patience is looking through the photos of all the different Catwoman you can see one of Selena Kyle.
I like this Catwoman more, Patience was a much better character then Selena ever was.
Patience and Selena aren't the same people! got that?
I'm glad they gave her cat-powers instead of just making her some sleak-s!ut.
I LUVVED THE FILM! PERIOD!
9/10 easy
and i agree with 'powerfulone' Halle is great. i dont want her to stop acting and i definitely wish she has the best. i mean comon i understand actors shouldnt be taken on their face values but background suggests differently. i'm a woman so i also sympathise with her (wife beating anyone?) and there was a report on that accident which suggests that halle was suffering from temporary amnesia after the accident. she was garbled and confused. people have the habit of selective amnesia specially after trauma. (i'm studying psychology btw) plus, she did report it immidiately after she remembered the accident which was in the hospital.
plus you have to account exhaustion. she just came from a 24 hour shoot for X-men when that happened and she was doing most of her stunt. she was just tired and needed sleep. she prolly nodded off while driving. happens to the best of us.
but thats my bit
i still think Catwoman's great. better than the 'Punisher', 'Blade' and Batman and Robin' that's for sure.
Nothing against you Kobyhalle. It's your opinion to like whatever you want right? However I have to say you have no film taste...Great and Catwoman just don't go together...but that's just my opinion as a film buff...I mean, all it is is Halle Berry in tight leather...with cat powers (since when did Catwoman crawl on all fours?) What is there to possibly like about it?
you do all realise this is the first movie to focus exclusively on a female superhero right?
before this and the coming Elektra movie women superheroes have always been relegated to sidekick status or lurve interests. i find this hopeful, and just for the concept i added 4 points to my original rating.
think about it.
there is a reason that there have been no movies that focused soley on a fmeal superhero. There are like two, atleast in the western part of the world. Also, comic book movies have never really been that big of a draw for audiences. Yeah, you had your superman 1 and 2. your batman 1, 2 and 3. this is becuase they were the most popular superheros, thats why a movie was made after them. If a female superhero had as much popularity as those two giants, you would have seen a female superhero years ago. There are very few popular female superhero's, even then, they are secondary characters to a male character. Now that the comic book books have earned a place in movies, you will see superhero's of all types, untill comic book movies become un popular. So it isnt sexist, it's because female superhero's blow and are utterly boring. Witchblade is cool, but thats about it.

BZZZZZZZZT!
"Supergirl", "Tank Girl", and "Barb Wire" all came before Ms. Catwoman. Then of course there is "Charlie's Angels", as well as Wonder Woman", albeit in Television.
Halle Berry is superbly overrated, IMO. Remember, taste is subjective, so don't let anyone talk you down.

Excellent point.
I think it's a crying shame that female superheroes are utterly rubbish - with the exception of the females in X-Men.
Wonder Woman is a joke, as is Hollywoods version of Catwoman.
Supergirl is just a female version of Superman, same goes for Spiderwoman, She Hulk etc etc etc.
The problem with female superheroes is that they are written so ANNOYINGLY. They are ANNOYING characters. Why are they annoying? Because they are always trying to "prove something", always trying to "measure up" - especially Supergirl and Spider-Woman.
They are obnoxious characters, very rarely do you ever get a female superhero that just blends in perfectly with the hero range.
And whats with female heroes being so sexist all the time. The next time I read a female superhero saying "men....." and rolling their eyes is when I kill that writer.
That's why characters like Rogue are so good, they are part of a team, they are on the same level, they don't TRY to be better than the men, and they AREN'T, they are their equal. It bugs me when writers think that it's necessary to have Spidergirl with more superpowers than Spider-Man, as some sort of compensation for the fact the character sucks ass.
yeah, the superhero theme is a big draw NOW. Ten years ago, If a superhero film was amde, it was destined to be shit, because studios diddnt want to take such a big risk. If a good comic flick was made, it still diddnt pull in that much doe, and an even smaller following. Aside from batman and superman, their really was no mainstream comic movie out there that ever did anything. Yeah you had your crows, and sandmans. Not untill the late 90's and early 21st century have we seen comic book's earn their place in films. This is why we will continue to see every god damn comic book turned into a film. I personally dont think the popularity of the comic movies will last much longer. If we keep getting punishers, catwoman's, Incredible hulks, and daredevils. Studios will continue to slap 100 million dollar budgets, and high name actors on the lists of comic films, but they will forget to add a a good story.
Out of the comic movies that we have seen of late. I would say that only Hellboy, x-men and Spiderman are worth noting as being somthing special. Spiderman 2 was a great ride, but is a recycled version of the first movie, X-2 was good, but the direction wasnt as crisp as the first.
