Well, to begin with, they can't. I think there have been many good Venom story lines. Take his first appearence.... or how about 'Sinner Takes All', or 'Seperation Anxiety' all of those and some others are.

Also, Spidey and Venom actually mangaged to kill Kasady's Symbiote in the their first battle. But Cletus'es Sym was alot smarter than Venom's and found a way to copy its cells and what not, thus making it immortal, basically. Read over the 'Maximum Carnage' crossover, they explain it all in there.

As for why people don't try? Well.... thats just it, they have.

Also, Robo, in the comic book universe the courts are ridiculously sensitive to issues of mental health, as contrasted to RL, where the courts are ridiculously INsensitive to issues of mental health... it's not any more stupid in its function than our legal system!
Yes, in RL they would have toasted ol' Clete instead of giving him eleven consecutives, and he never would have had an opportunity to go for twelve with Brock.
But there's a nice fic out there called "Cletus Kasady goes to hell" which begins with Jameson frying Kasady during an escape attempt. It was a great first chapter but the author never wrote more so I didn't ever get to see him go to hell. But it was fun watching him die! Another is called "Blood and Bone," I think, and it takes Marvel charactors and establishes them in RL, without their powers, just ordinary people. Ororo and Remy are NYPD detectives tracking a serial killer. Turns out there's actually two killers. One of them is Kasady. They ventilate Kasady with many bullets and, though he survives, he ends up in traction. They have a court proceeding for him in the intensive care unit, and have to use a pulley sytem to raise his right hand to swear him in. FUNNY! He's sure to fry, but will probably escape at least once to seek revenge on Detectives Remy and Ororo. The fic was good for a Kasady fan but did Brock no justice; it depicted him as a brutish thug, a habitual criminal, and a man who was afraid to rat on Kasady... very off-charactor...

Yes, I like Brock- I was saying that this particular fan fic did a good job with Kasady, but a poor job with Brock.
Move on from a sociopathic killer? Its hardly time, not when our society is beginning more and more to celebrate and reward sociopathic traits. There's a new sociology book out that examines this phenomemon. I will find that title and author for you, Robo. Perhaps it will help you understand how Kasady allows comic writers to explore our society. Remember Kasady's computer game, his fans, his courtship by those who would commercialize violence? Conceptually, the plot was a wonderful exploration of how all such attempts to profit from the inclusion of the dissocial personality will b!te us in the @ss eventually! The plot was not well served by the writing or the art, however...sigh...

Love what Clete did with the place! Yes, I would buy a blood-scented candle if it was Carnage-authorized.
The fight with Robin is wonderful! Will Deadpool show up in time to head off Robin's death? Deadpool is who Jameson was referring to, right? YOU are definitely the person to write that confrontation, and I can't wait.
Did you and Wonder do any revision on this roleplay? It's amazingly good, very flowing, deep charactorization.

I dont revise. I do one shot writing, if its not good its not good. I dont believe in doing drafts, or rereading. I put it down and thats how it comes out. I'm guessing you guys want me to put the coninuation of that series, so ill put that up on my site shortly. Problem is, the arc ends very abruptly, as I quit the site i was righting for due to "conflicting issues' (I told some people off... they told me off... I did a few things I wasn't supposed to. No one should lay the blame >.> <.< >.>😉

As of right now I role-play carnage Semi-seriously on Urfo2.com. I rarely post seriously, because its a game, but if i do you can tell.

Nataku8188 is the shit.

Nataku, you have a good feel for Carnage... the action is supported, in every instance, by a specific motivation- I like, I like. His twisted whimsies are wonderfully rampant here- the way he gets childishly caught up in a game of building a "base" for himself, just like all the other villains have, only better, is grimly hilarious. How he goes out of his way to attack Robin in exactly the way Robin hit him is a totally plausible way of drawing out the fight, and its just one way of how you stretch the action and the tension. Lots of other people would have had him just pop right back up and in.
The whole thing was very kinetic. Lots of nice touches.
