Simple if you read the toxin series (which could be found at your local library) you will see that they didn't utilize him well enough and on top of that the villain he fights is an amputee with blades for arms. The story just didn't work well for a symbiote that is twice as strong as carnage or venom. I will elaborate more later too lazy to type it up. That is the gist.

Well OK I exaggerated he is not TWICE as strong but he is stronger than either of them. BTW for Venom I am using the Mac Gargan one since he is the most current Venom

She-Venom as she appeared in the comics was pretty dumb... they should've done a whole mini-series with Weying hosting the Venom costume while Brock took a break or something... but they didn't.
In a lot of physical aspects too they failed; you have a female Venom but you make her bald... with humongous bug-looking hands.... riiiighhhtt...

If she had her own comic seires just for a bit. Fanboys would just go crazy like no other. Too bad she killed herself =\
The thing is her hair was short. Heck, Eddie's hair was much longer in that seires than Ann's hair. Plus having claw hands fit a female better. After all women have nice long slender hands. I'd hate to see venom with hair. Just doesn't seem right in my humble opinion.

Y'know I agree about the fan-boy comment; there's a crapton more fans of a female Venom then some people fail to realize.

Right... BUT... if you have the opportunity to make a new character, why not differentiate it from the older long-established one in whatever way you can, ESPECIALLY if it's a female version of something as iconic as Venom?

Hands like that are both sexy and monstrous and work much better then the stupid "lazy" large deformed hands Luzniak and that other artist from Venom: Along Came a Spider gave her.
(Sad thing is Luzniak did everything else about the character pretty much flawlessly; the chest symbol and how he rendered Weying in the costume were great... I even grew to like his super large mouth and fangs over the years).
I just can't get over the big hands and lack of symbiote-endowed hair.
Speaking of hair... it seemed to work pretty spectacularly for Scream/Donna and Leslie/Agony... sexy yet monstrous is the key...

Yeah I agree with most of your post except the hair part. Donna and Leslie had long hair Ann doesn't hence we get a bald she venom. Plus the way She venom is it stays with the roots on how venom looks except that she venom has a slender body and female parts.

I think the length of hair when in "Symbiote mode" is decided upon the host, since the Symbiote matches whatever the host deems necessary. If Ann wanted long hair when in Venom-mode, it'd grow long hair probably. In the short bits she's had the Symbiote in the comics, I doubt she even had a chance to think about the option, since all three times the Symbiote had dominance and she wasn't really thinking/controlling her actions. Thus, is the reason we need more fics of her or like characters, lol.
