Anyways, for the record I don't smoke. Not because of anti-smoking campaigns, but because I never enjoyed the taste of nicotine.
I can understand the ppl behind the anti-smoking campaign. What I think about them is that they are doing the right thing, but maybe their ways of promoting anti-smoking might be wrong. I mean they used commercials with colorful characters, and they use some of that MTV image to get their message across. Which remains me soooo much of those anti-drugs campaigns of the early 90's. Remenber the "This is your brain on drugs" *smashes egg* "Any questions?". Have ppl stop smoking? No, because the addiction is hard to control.
Holy shit, I hate the truth commercials, it's a bunch of bullshit propoganda. Like people don't know that tobacco products are dangerous! Get off my TV, you stupid new age hippies. Everyone knows what you're preaching, some people simply DON'T CARE. Let them smoke in peace without you trying to make them feel bad.
I'm so ****ing tired of these commercials, I'm sitting here minding my own business, and then they try to guilt me into to pitying people who choose to smoke. "Oh, some 80 year old man died of cancer, it was because of cigarettes". No, stupid, it was because he's old, something would have given him cancer anyways, whether it be cigarettes, or too much sun. Scare tactics are stupid, give it up you shit heads.
Their commercials are annoying and pretentious, and they serve no relevant purpose other then pissing me off and making me want to start smoking just to spite them.
You have truth commercials in USA, and guess what, overthere, you really do need them.
For us in UK, this is purly a website, an informational one! ✅ and ever so true, no one makes you look at the site, you can exit it if you dont like it or dont agree with it.
We have some the ''truth commercials'' here, about driving over the limit, car accidents etc...

No, we don't need commercials hammering our heads with facts that are already well known. I'm sorry, but it is a WELL KNOWN FACT that cegarettes are dangerous, it's even printed on the package of cigarettes that they may cause cancer if used for long periods of time, along with other health problems. It's been hammered into our heads since gradeschool that tobacco is dangerous. Again, everyone in the civilized world who isn't absolutely retarded knows that dangers of cigarette use. If they don't, then they deserve death for being so ignorant, seeing as it's one of the most well known facts about health in the world.
Also, I see you've been taken in by their lies and propoganda. "You're going to get cancer to spite a commercial". Here's an interesting fact that the truth commercials simply bypass all together. If you smoke for 20 years or less during your younger years, and then quit, it's almost assured that nothing will happen to you. The problems of cigarettes are easily reversible unless you smoke an insane amount your entire life. A few cigarettes here and there most likely will not hurt you in the long run. And if it does, you'll be like 80. Who cares if you get cancer when you're 80? Like South Park said - "Who wants to be 90 anyways?" Chances are, if that 80 year old wasn't dying of cigarette caused lung cancer, they'd be dying from something else.
Oh, what happens when you eat junk food? Another well known fact that people act as though is unknown to most people. If you eat a lot of junk food, YOU GET FAT! Holy Shit, what a shock, food with lots of grease and salt and fats make me fat? I never knew that!
All of these truth commercials need to just go away, they aren't helping anything, yeah, smokings dangerous, everyone knows this, yeah, eating fast food and not exercising makes you fat, again, everyone knows this. Some people just choose to do it anyways, and it's not up to these stupid hippies feeding us twisted truths and blatant scare tactics to tell people not too. Just leave people alone, let them smoke, let them eat, who cares?
Oh, and for the record, I don't smoke, and I never will. My comment about wanting to start smoking to spite these people was a joke aimed at showing just how much I hate these commercials and everyone involved with them.

There is something that should be mention here and that is the sale of tobacco. Maybe tobacco isn't smoked that much in other parts of the world. Maybe tobacco is mostly sold instead of consume to make a profit. The question might come down to WHO sells more tobacco rather than WHO smokes it the most.

Thats true indeed. But people are gonna sell more where people smoke more. USA is a huge country, biiig consimer place, so they will sell more overthere, because people smoke there much much more.

Yeah, I agree with that, but also I have to point out that the US Government has step in on smoking. They have restricted Tobacco companies as far as advertising and cost of cigarretes. The price of cigarretes has increase in the last 5 years. More than any other commondity, they even try to start a tax on smoking (which I'm not sure if it has been passed by lawmakers)
Also, here in California smoking is not allowed inside restaurants. Only in designated areas. There are also restricitions on smoking advertising in magazines and road bill boards. So I think the tobacco company has been put on the choke hold. 😉
Something I had in mind for awhile.....I once heard that Pepsi is owned by the Tobacco industry. I'm not saying Pepsi is bad, but I'm trying to find out if it is true or not.
