"So logically that means something poisonous." Kingsley said.
Many was considering the many magical creatures which carried poison with them, enough on a level to make a giant sick. But the others were perplexed about who Grawp was.
"Er - " Colin interrupted, worry on his face. "Hagrid, may I ask who 'Grawp' is?"
"Oh, he's a giant," Hagrid said matter-of-factly. "My little brother in law, mind. And there's two other giants, Rawth and Torgus."
Perhaps Hagrid had caught the looks of fear that flitted around between students, because he said calmingly. "Don't worry your head about 'em, Colin, They're nice, actually....can speak English pretty well. For giants, I mean."
Oweing to Hagrid's past sense of judgement on the difference between bloodthirsty monsters and adorable animals, the students looked very much discomforted. However, Dumbledore supported Hagrid, as did Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
"Don't worry," Dumbledore said. "I have met all three giants in person, and they indeed seem to have excellent manners for their personalities."
"Yeah, they're pretty nice for a bunch of giants." Ron added.
"Come to think of it, I need to check on them again after." Hagrid said.
"What have they been up to, Hagrid?" Dumbledore said concernedly.
"Well, they've been doin' some sparring drills. Light, mind - I don't want 'em accidentally killin' each other. I'll bet you that You-Know-Who outfitted his share of giants as well, but I doubt they'll have the weaponry skill of Grawp, Rawth, and Torgus. They actually seem to enjoy trainin'...ha, Rawth weilds that stormhammer of his like - "
Hagrid realised he was chattering again, and wisely gave the floor for anyone willing.
"Professor, how many followers does he have at this moment?" Harry asked.
"Ah, I was about to raise that issue myself." Dumbledore said, nodding solemnly at Harry. "Well, with the Dementors, the giants, the Dark creatures....not to mention his own followers(which have considerably increased in number, I might add)....I would say he has a veritable army at his hands."
"Enough to attack Hogwarts in force?" Hermione said, gulping.
"I would say so, yes." Dumbledore sighed.
"Then we need to do something about it." Harry said.
"Trust me Harry, it will." Dumbledore said. "What we need to do, however, is to make Hogwarts as safe as we possibly can. Have the teachers on patrol after hours, bar all gates and windows, and teachers, I think it would be wise to let the students off of homework for a while."
Snape pursed his lips. McGonagall also looked reluctant, but she said. "Of course, Albus."
"Severus as well?"
"Yes, headmaster."
Hagrid and Tonks also offered their general affirmatives.
"Good, please pass the word to the other teachers." Dumbledore said.
"If we're going to be attacked by Dementors, I want to make sure every student knows it." Kingsley said, standing up.
"I second that, Kingsley." Arthur Weasley said.
"That's been taken care of." Harry said, smiling slightly.
"What?" Everyone except Dumbledore and the students were taken aback. "You mean you can all do it?"
Harry nodded.
"What form does your Patronus take, Ron?" Mrs. Weasley inquired.
"Polar bear." Ron replied.
AUTHOR's--------I've dropped a hint about how I'm going to end the 7th book, after I finish this one. Yes I have already started planning. I already know what Harry's speech will say.
Mrs. Weasley looked very impressed, despite herself.
"What about Fred and George? And Ginny, and Hermione?"
"Weasel and ferret." the twins said at the same time.
Everyone chuckled.
"Mine's an otter." Hermione said.
"A big hawk." Ginny said, pleased with herself.
"Well, that seems to be settled rather quickly." Kingsley said cheerfully, sitting back.
"Excellent...." Dumbledore said, standing up. "Now that we have reached a decisive plan of action, I suggest we embark it immediately. Dismissed, everyone. Supper will be starting soon."
As Harry turned to leave, Dumbledore hailed him.
"Just a moment, Harry. Will you stay a moment, please?"
Harry glanced at Ron and Hermione, shrugged, and walked back.
"I think it may be time soon..." Dumbledore said quietly and very seriously. "To reclaim what is yours by right."
"The armour." Harry said breathlessly. He could not believe it; Soon, he would get the chance to see his dreams true. To become the true heir of Gryffindor!
"Yes." Dumbledore replied. "But not yet, Harry."
"When?" Harry asked, disappointed.
"When I think you are ready." Dumbledore said simply. "But until then, try and get Miss Granger to read you everything important from the book I gave you."
"Sure - hey, wait...how did you know I gave Hermione the book to read?"
"I know you and your friend's way of thinking, Harry." Dumbledore said, slightly amused. "Thus it would only be natural that you would give the book to your most observant and intellgient companion, who I assume was only too happy to do it for you."
