Watching Independence Day: Resurgence got me thinking. About all Alien invasions in movies, tv, comic books, etc have failed and Earth remains the one small shining beacon of resistance against all attacks, every Alien that has stepped foot on our world has either died, been captured and experimented on or driven away. our primitive culture (in Galactic comparison) by no means should have any right to withstand an attack by technologically superior weaponry and yet time and again we rise up and either develop out own deus ex machina to win or use their tech on them.
