Sounds like rhetoric to me. The draft is the exact oposite of freedom. Forcing someone to go over to a foriegn land and fight and possibly die for something they don't believe in when they don't want to is slavery.
It was needed during the early days, but there was no need for it over the last 60 years, and there is no need for them to consider bringing it back now. (which they are doing if you didn't know)

Are you kidding me? He won by a landslide! And yet, you're telling me NOBODY respected him... To me, at least, he commanded respect. He was a great speaker, and especially compared to the president we have now.
Err... reality check? People in other countries STILL laugh at us! 🙄 The reason you don't know anybody who respected him is simply because everybody you've known shared your political views. Almost everybody I know thought he was a great (for a politician at least😉) president... Because my friends all happen to share my political views. It's amazing how disillusioned you can get by talking to the same people all the time.
And he was not bad for the military. Just because he wasn't a warmonger doesn't mean he was destroying the military... I saw a bumper sticker somewhere, "Bush can't lose with Clinton's military". True that.

And do you think people respect Bush? Maybe untill he confuses the word "hostile" with "hostage". There is no excuse for that.
Other countries liked him a lot better then they like our current president.

He was "bad" for the military because he didn't need them. He used his intelegence and wits to avoid needing to go to war.

I dont talk to people with my views hardly ever.. because most of the time my views are very different that most peoples .. including my friends, and of course my family .... Its just that on this issue most of us do agree that Clinton Sucks
