Theories area abound about time travel and shit like that.
I'm still ****ed up about it.
There's a few things that could happen.
1. It's what Inner says, that they're will be flashbacks of what happened on the island and the main story will be what each character does after the island. - It makes sense, they're will be 16 episodes per season now for the next three years....but the only problem I see is that it wont be that great, and I dont think they can really have each season about that....so I dont think this is the case.
2. Jack and company go back to the island and learn about the island, or fight or whatever. No flashbacks, nothing. - this could easily happen. They still can give answers about the island, and thier is mystery of if they can survive whoever took over the island.
3. Something beyond what we know, maybe an Desmond glimpse in the future, or something like that.
4. It stays the same show. They're still on the island, they didnt get rescued or anything like that.

The sharks...I'm assuming you mean doubters, or haters?
Yeah, I dont know. But I have to say, pretty sweet ending. It gave closure, but left it wide open in an interesting way. Nonbody knows what the **** happens.
My one doubt is that I wish they didnt show that they lived, if thats the correct thing. For example, the next three season show them going from the radio call to the rescue then I dont understand why they showed them being rescued. What's the point of next three seasons if you already know the answer. If thats the case, then I can see this show going downhill in a hurry in terms of ratings. We would already know they survived and we can just go on wikipedia to find out answers some questions that you wanted to know.
I dont think thats the case. Something ****ed up is going to shown in the first episode next year. That flashforward is not going to be real, or it will be an flashback or something crazy like that. Heck, maybe Kate and Jack were already on the island before the plane crash.....
Maybe there's more to it. Perhaps that was NOT the moment they got off the island. Something could have happened that kept them on the island long after that episode ended and more stuff happened... that future could be several years into the future after the end of the episode.
I was hoping they did show what happens to the people who get off the island, but not 3 seasons worth.
Theory time...
The island and everything on it is caught somehow where time moves slower there. The LOSTies get rescued and all go home, but maybe Jack and Kate or whoever contact Penelope and with her money try to find the island again because no one can find it. This is where the two guys in the arctic from the Season 2 finale come back in. Since the time difference could be so much, when the Swan blows up and is found on their computer they contact Penny and that's how she tracks down the location, she then calls out towards the island...and speaks with Charlie in the past. Desmond either dies on the island before the rescue or he is with her, which is why she seems so confused as to how Desmond is there with Charlie.
It's confusing and I probably confused it all more by trying to type it out, but in my head it sounds logical from a LOST stand point.

Jumping the Dharma tagged shark. 😛
Seriously though, think that maybe Desmond will have a run in with that shark on his way to the surface? I mean, that chicks blood in the water calling out to it, reminding it of it's hunger.
It would be nice to see that brought back, even if you just see it swimming in the background.
Jumping the shark....doesnt really matter....because we all know when its going to end.
24 I think jumped the shark on the season finale this year.
Lost, I think regained that jumped shark from the excellent second half of season 3. I dont understand how people cannot watch it anymore because its getting better and better every time, in my opinion.
Originally posted by SmasandianI agree that the 2nd half of season 3 was incredible, but this whole "flash-future" of Jack's could be a potential downfall to the series. And I don't mean in it ending, for we already know when that is, but rather the quality of the show.
