And to say that there was no resemblance at all is quite way off too.
Would Twelve Monkeys have worked if it was clearly Willis we could see in his own boyhood memory..? I reckon thats angle they might be taking.

I disagree man. They will probably be involved in the purge this time around, but I don't think that was them in the flashback.

What do you mean by that? I'm pretty sure that they always were apart of it, that since it happened already they were there, not that time is changing this time around. At least, to me, that's what Faraday's rantings lead to, do you disagree?

but the purge happens many years after Ben got to the Island... I don't think they're gonna age all the characters to that point, 3 years can happen, but not 15-20....
either they make a jump to the purge year, or they are not in it at all...
..and I think they're not involved in the purge, since they get back to the current timeline (with Locke and the others) looking just like they do now.
I don't know how they travel to the present, but they won't be stuck in the past that long IMO
Theres defintitely more time jumping shenanigans ahead, I think they are gonna be around long enough or flash back to the 1984 "incident."
Locke has to interact with past Mikhail, Daniel has to cause that "You just couldnt stay away, could you...?" comment from his young ma in Jughead... and I reckon we'll be going back further in history on the island too. They wouldnt get us all whipped up into a past-expecting frenzy and leave us dangling for all eternity.
So yeah its possible that if the ultimate fate of the losties lies back in the seventies....
