i dress how i want, i act how i want, i write what i want on the forum i want to write on, i slate any band i want and i like any band i want. and ill be damned if some tosser generic wannabe goth calls me a chav because of it lol.
fact of the matter is, the music you listen to is 100x more generic and stereotypical than 90% of the stuff i listen to, but just because i listen to the music i dont feel the need to dress in a way to fit that, act in a way to fit that or generally try and fit in to the subculture of the music i like!
i listen to Electronica/Industrial music, in many forms all the way from your Quatermass styles to the stuff under the Digital Hardcore label... but im not gonna dress in a particular way to suit that.
i listen to Screamo, Alexisonfire, From Autumn to Ashes etc... but im not gonna parade around in pink polo shirts, box frame glasses and tight jeans.
i listen to Hardcore and alot of heavy music aswell, Willhaven, Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge etc... but again, not gonna dress to suit that!
and last of all, i listen to Indie... and no not Franz Ferdinand before u comment...
id rather dress how i wanted to than try pose as 1 of the members of one of the bands i like... strikes me as kinda pathetic really, i prefer to dress in what i think is nice, Fred Perry, Nickelson, smart casual stuff....no i dont own any tracksuits bottoms and if i did i wouldnt tuck my socks into them, but i do own a cap and a parka jacket
so how about next time u think before u generalise haha? infact, 1 click in my signature woulda taken u directly to the site of one of my favourite musical artists... and the Dillinger Escape Plan song name under my name should've given it away a bit aswell

face it, you dont dress how you want....you "try to be different" by dressing exactly the same as every1 else who likes the same music as you, i dont see how thats different but maybe its just me. whos the more different.... the goth in a culture of goth's, or a chav in a culture of goths? - pretty obvious answer really... even tho ive never tried to be different in my life, infact ive never tried to fit in either, as "goth" as this sounds... i just try to be myself
i use that phrase "as goth as this sounds" loosely, since it doesnt sound like something a goth would do at all, since goth's are just as bad as chavs, instead of trakeys and caps they have long hair and boots... its all a uniform and the sooner all you people realise that the better...lol
if every1 who insults slipknot is a chav, you'll find this forum has a lot of chavs on it.... but not many of them are actually chavs lol
