VERY interesting comment from GL on MTV.com

Does the rating make a difference ?

In my country it dont ; as long as no explicit sex scenes are involved anyone can go in. @ 13 i had seen The Last Boyscout and that was rated as an 18 movie. at the counter they didnt utter a single word on our age . 'as long as the seat gets filled in' is the way it goes. besides i doubt there will be any bad language in it .

on a different note GL also said in that interview that its confirmed that 'Sith' will be the last episode of Star Wars he does and its not in his plans carrying on until 80 years old doing episodes VII, VIII, and IX.

His will (or should be moving on ) be carrying on his Indiana Jones 4 with Sean Connery & Harrison Ford

I heard Indy 4 stalled again.

And I don''t believe SW gets a PG Rating until I see it when it comes out.

also on another note, pirates of the carribean was pg13, no bad language whatsoever, and its a disney movie, so ep iii should get a pg13 so it can be darker whis is GOOD.

excellent

and the rest of the interview mentioned in the first post went like this

"This was never planned as a nine-episode work," Lucas said. "The media [pounced when] I made an offhand comment, 'It might be fun to come back when everyone's 80 and do another one of these.' But I never had any intention of doing that."
Lucas said he only decided to do the back-story trilogy — which "Sith," due next May, will cap — because he realized he had already written it in order to tell the story in the first "Star Wars" films. "The original 'Star Wars' was only three films, and that was what it was meant to be," he said. "After a lot of pondering and thought, I went back to do the back story, but that pretty much tells the story. Episode six is the end. There isn't any more to it."

SO YEAH!!!!! No EP 7, 8 or 9! I'm a happy camper! 😄

Just like I said before. It doesn't matter what the rating is for ep3. When it's released with a pg or a pg-13 rating people will still go see it no matter what the rating is. Personally I favor it being pg-13 but we'll just have to wait and see.

well my sisters kids loved Phantom Menace bought up plenty of figures, were cool towards clones wanted barely any merchandise but they did get exited about pics of Grevious and are quite looking forward to Ep3......other relatives kids arent that keen......DAMN wrestling!!

I've heard that he's contractually obligated to deliver a PG movie due to the deals with Hasbro and others....

Is it really a big deal what the rating is? The movie can be good and action-filled without a stronger rating. In previous SW movies, we've seen decapitation, strangulation, limbs removed, etc. Its not the rating that determine how good this movie is.......
