😮 To tell you the truth, I haven't read the hobbit in quite some time. But I did love Thrain (that's the leader's name, right?) and kili and fili... Personally, when i first read all four books (lotr 1, 2, 3, and hobbit) i liked the hobbit best out of all of them. I loved the spider part and mirkwood... It was all so well written! I even used to watch the animated version... 🙄 How about you Thrain?

I saw the animated version and if they made it into live action film it would be awesome.

I've read the hobbit, great book. I was at a website a few months back that had sent a petition letter to New Line and they actually worte back that they would love to do a hobbit movie and if done they want Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh the head it like they did with LOTR.

My Fav book in the series is The Silmarillion, despite that Tolkien never completed it. I Think originally The Silmarillion was supposed to be longer than LOTR.

I say he should do it.

I thought it was Peter Jackson and Barrie Osbourne...

I really hope he does do the Hobbit.I mean think of the fans out there who would love to forget the stupid cartoon and see a great movie!Me for starings would love to see "The Hobbit" as a movie.Anyone know if he is actly going to do it?

There was a petition going around on newline.com and i am prety sure P.J has the rights to the hobbit, if it did get made it would be pretty good.

Hmm, There's always two sides. Another cool DVD for my collection would be cool, still I don't really want it to get made.

NO HOBBIT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!! The story was very childish, not like LotR. If Peter Jackson wants to finish Tolkien's work on movies good, then he should stop right now. Besides, we've already seen all the creatures in LotR. If it appears on screen, PJ maybe would want to change some things, that is if Christopher Tolkien let him.

I think it would be awesome if Peter Jackson does do "The Hobbit" It would be awesome 💃 LOL

I just don't want the story to end after the lord of the rings it would be fun to be excited about waiting for another movie i mean come on weren't any o0f you sad when return of the king was over because it was...over u know what i mean?

I'd rather read The Hobbit than LoTR

I somewhat agree with Thor, Hobbit was much more enjoyable to read but still I loved reading lord of the rings.

The Hobbit was so fun to read and visualize after you seen the movie so you can have agood perspective on what bilbo and the shire gandalf elrond and all that other stuff looks like

The hobbit was the actual first book then it was so popular (a long time ago I dont know when) they wanted a sequel.The Lord of the rings
