He's doing Halo

Well this might bring back the LOTR forum..... If PJ could just get the rights we would be set. As for wether or not he is going to make it is up in the air according to this article. But if they settle the rights... who knows what could happen!ClickyClicky
So the thread doesnt become over clouded and die from too many conclusions lets talk about what we would like to see in the film!
Such as...
Possibly Legolas in Thranduils Kingdom (I imagine Banquet Table)
Any possibilites on casting for Bard, Throin and the Dwarves etc.
How could they make the Gollum scenes interesting bearing in mind the exposure he's had in the trilogy already.
I wouldn't be suprised if they change the movie to include more characters from LOTR. Expand on some roles and maybe even add some. PJ showed that he isn't afraid of changing things, so you never know what could happen.
As for casting I would have to sit and think about it. The races were so defined already that they will have to pay close attention to who they select.
Casting is defintedly a hard one. Considering how long we might have to wait, there could be a whole bunch of new actors on the block, excuse the cliché.
And for Bilbo, I can't see Ian Holme taking it up again unless CGI is so advanced they can use him as an actor and make his face look young again, hwoever I doubt that'll happen.
I'd be interested into how they make the Esgaroth Lake men and the Men of Dale look though, with the architecture and such. Strictly speaking it should look very similar to Rohan's but I doubt PJ and his development team will regard that limitation.

Im registered to another forum, similar to this one, and they all agree that Ian is too old to play Bilbo as he has to climb trees, float on barrels and fight several spiders! Hes coming up to like 70 i think but i still think he is still very healthy for his age and give it a shot. They could make him younger with like prosthetics and stuff, but, on the whole, he really wouldnt be too godd and it would be a godd choice to change the actor, but try and keep the looks of Bilbo from Ian, if that makes sense?
On another forum, which im not registered to, they think that they should only have 5 dwarves as 13 is far too many! Or have 13, but only have 5 talk! I strogly disagree with is! They couldnt only have 5 dwarves beacuse of this pic:http://arwen-undomiel.com/sc/fotr/MM/Mm039.jpg visit the site (look at the naems on the left hand side)
Regarding Lake Esgaroth and the Lake Men, i cant wait too see them! lol! and Smaug! I hope they dont miss out his belly bit with the diamonds and other jewels stuck on! haha
Yeah, unlike LOTR The Hobbit is failry compact and wouldnt need much alteration. The only bits that would need changing would be some bits that wouldnt flow with the story or just dont need to be put in-like the Elves and their lights in Mirkwood, PJ will probably scrap that. But i hope they put the bit with the river in when Bilbo sees the boat and Bombur (i think) falls in?!
