Here we go again. "The sancitity of marriage" argument is not valid people, again, IT IS NOT VALID AND ANYONE WHO USES IT AS REASONING AS TO WHY GAYS SHOULD NOT BE MARRIEED IS A TOOL OF STUPIDITY.The sanctity of marriage is pretty much dead, it hasn't been sacred in a long time, pretty much since there have been drive through marriage chapels and shows like "who wants to marry a millionaire". Letting gay people get married won't hurt marriage for anyone else, it will just allow gay people the same rights as everyone else. By saying gay people shouldn't be married you are saying they should not have the same rights as everyone else (marriage is a right these days, lets face it). So, saying that a group of people shouldn't have the same rights as everyone else is prejudice and bigoted, so saying that gay people shouldn't is proving you are a prejudice bigot. Congratulations.
BF, THANK YOU.
The whole "marriage is only between a man and a woman" thing is bull. Marriage should be between two people who love each other, regardless of their gender.
regardless of what anyone believes,
ammending the constitution with a law based on religion is
not only a mockery of liberty, but a dangerous slippery slope.
the fact that this is even being thought over by the powers that be
scares me. its not just about gay weddings, there is far more at
stake here, and it affects ALL americans.

If it gets amended, you only have to ask 'what's next?'

Women not being allowed to vote, black people having to drink out of special drinking fountains and use special bathrooms, and eventually we'll get the privilege of buying other human beings so we can force them to do work around the house that we don't really want to do.
I CAN'T WAIT.
hehe
What people dont understand is WHY gay peopel want to get married.
Not because they wanna undermine religion or something. They just wana get the legal benifits of marrage, like spousal insurance, and tax breaks. Oh and expressing their love for another human being is not a bad reason too. But they should be entitled to all that as much as any straight person.
BF> with all seriousness. Can I use your quote in my website?? Same with the person who started this thread, I'll probably PM you both though...

that one
Even if we assume that homosexuality is a chosen lifestyle, there is no rational relationship between prohibiting same sex marriage and a legitimate state interest.
Even if we assume that an opposite sex marriage is the "optimal structure for raising children," prohibiting same sex marriage does not move a single child into or out of this structure.
Remember, religion is not something that is inborn, nor is it something one inherits from his parents. Religion is a choice. Likewise, some people may not agree with your choice and may even find it offensive or objectionable. Should we allow atheists to legislate a prohibition on your right to exercise the religion of your choice simply because they find it objectionable?

this one is what really got me.
wtf?
so... are you claiming... that every gay in the world has gay parents?
if so then you obviously have no idea what the fu.ck you are talking about.
most gay people have straight parents... you know... it's how they came into the world....
gays should have every right to marry, they're humans just like straight people...
there is nothing wrong with them. and there is nothing wrong with homosexuality.
you love whom you love... you cant help it. if you could choose who to fall in love with or who to have a crush on the world would be a much better place... but you cant. so why do we feel the need to crush those who are different than us?
You're entire message was bullsh.it. Thank you.
